The Guardians is a new documentary series broadcast by Animal Planet since January 7, 2017. The show hails from Earth Touch USA and is executive produced by Brian V. Toole and Dawn Sinsel and co-executive produced by Christopher Voos. The freshman season is slated to contain six episodes.
The show features the team at the Guardians of Rescue, a volunteer-run organization that provides the much-needed assistance to helpless animals. There are very different people of various backgrounds involved – from ex-military personnel, former police detectives and ex-FBI-investigators to ex-gang members with prison time in their past. One thing that unites them is their passion for protecting animals and their willingness to dedicate their time and energy to this cause.
