About the series
Blue Collar Millionaires is an American documentary series that premiered on CNBC in 2015, and the second season followed after an extended hiatus on January 4, 2017 with two back-to-back episodes. The show hails from 495 Productions and is executive produced by Joel Zimmer, Pam LaLima and SallyAnn Salsano. There were eight episodes in the freshman season, and the current sophomore installment consists of 10 half-hour episodes.
Music legend Tim McGraw is the narrator of the show that introduces viewers to Americans from various walks of life, but all of whom are involved in blue-collar occupations and have managed to make a fortune in their respective fields. There are three stories per episode, and the people profiled have ranged from a chimney sweeper and a mechanic to an exterminator, a concrete pourer and even a gator trapper. This is a show about the very core idea of the American dream, and these hard-working people prove that it is still possible to make it to the top if you start with your sleeves rolled up.
