Production info and main idea
An all-new adventure reality series on Discovery, Legend of Croc Gold premiered on November 23, 2016. It is produced by American Chainsaws Entertainment and executive produced by Royal Malloy, Duke Straub, Colt Straub and Alex Eastburg.
The series documents the efforts of gold miners from around the globe who have gathered on the island of Bougainville, just off Papua New Guinea's coast, with a dream of becoming the one to prosper from finding it. The island is supposed to be home to one of the hugest still untouched gold reserves in the world. The biggest obstacle that these prospectors face is a natural one – a huge population of savage crocodiles, who have killed many hopeful miners before them.
