Cake Wars: Christmas is a seasonal spinoff of the hit Cake Wars series on Food Network. It was launched with a marathon on November 12, 2016, and the new installment began airing its regular episodes on November 14, 2016. There are six episodes in the current series.
It is a holiday-themed baking competition reality series that portrays incredible dessert concoctions. Seven teams are comprised of cake artist, sugar sculptor and food carver, and together they create the most amazing cakes that you can imagine. The current season contains the following episodes: Ultimate Christmas Lights, Who's Coming Down the Chimney, Santa's New Ride, Holiday Song, Charlie Brown Celebrates, and Ultimate Gingerbread House. The extra edge on the competition is placed by the five-fold increase in the prize amount - $50,000 against the $10,000 in regular Cake Wars.
