Vice TV Pulls the Plug on Season 2 of Payday

Viceland tries to stay on top of current events and examine the current situation from the most down-to-earth and non-mainstream perspectives. One of the shows on the network's programming slate this season is Payday. It is a program that explores one of the most universally relatable topics, and one even more poignant in the midst of a financial crisis that is the most large-scale one since the Great Depression – earning a living. The series is hosted by Rollie Pemberton and debuted on November 12, 2016.

Each of the eight one-hour episodes explores the millennials navigating their economic situations against the backdrop of one particular American city. The millennial generation faces a unique combination of factors, such as a good education, mounting debt, lack of interesting and well-paying jobs on the market, and the need to survive and provide for their families at the height of the global financial crisis. On the other hand, the incredible flexibility offered by the modern world as far as employment is concerned is unprecedented, and making the most of it requires a dynamic, creative and courageous approach.
