Series information and premise

Project Grizzly is a new Animal Planet docuseries that debuted on November 12, 2016. The six-part program is developed by Kurt Tondorf and executive produced by Aengus James, Colin King Miller, Keith Hoffman with This Is Just a Test behind the production.

The show documents the amazing work done by a man of a rare profession. Jeff Watson is a bear trainer who realized that the bears who were rescued as cubs need to be taught the skills desperately required in order to be reintroduced into the wilderness. These six episodes focus on Jeff Watson's struggle to teach Bob and Screech, two 700-pound grizzlies in his charge, the survival techniques that they were supposed to learn from their mothers.

What ever happened to the 2 bears? Inquiring minds want to know?

I agree. It’s [censored]ic and arrogant to think you can release these bears back into the wild. They act more like dogs than grizzlys on the show. One of them is lame. Give me a break. Keep them safe and sheltered. If you had any intentions of releasing them then you should’ve been working with them from the time they were two months old. No way!

I love the WILDLIFE, I grew up watching Grizzly Adams with my dad when I was a little girl and have season 1 and 2 on DVD. I think Jeff is amazing with these bears, I couldn't give them up, being a bear lover it's almost like the bears are your kids just like animals in general. They will be lost without you. Connie_loveswildlife???? KEEP BOB AND SCREECH! ?

I hope that he does not release them into the wild, please keep them in a safe place they know you and you love them. Each time I watch I get tears in my eyes. Love these bears, you cannot release Bob as he has a bad back leg PLEASE PLEASE DON'T RELEASE THEM.

My thoughts were that these two bears showed no interest in being introduced back into the wild. Because they didn't have a clue what "wild" is. I think it's highly unethical to put them back and expect them to be able to do what hogs do. Become feral wild hogs. Bears don't do this. They are more like dogs. Let the babys stay sheltered and protected. It's obviously all they know.
