Ordinary Lies is a top-rated BBC One anthology drama series created and written by Danny Brocklehurst that premiered in 2015. The current six-part second series debuted on October 18, 2016. The show hails from Red Production Company and is executive produced by Nicola Schindler.
The series features seemingly ordinary groups of friends and colleagues, all of whom have dark secrets of various kinds. Series one was set in a car showroom, and the current second chapter takes place at a sports goods warehouse. When each character's background is disclosed, many unpleasant things are revealed, with the consequences sometimes catching up. From domestic abuse to self-confidence issues, infidelity, toxic relationships and even becoming a superhero at night, the issues are relatable and the stories are convincing and evoke empathy. The current season stars Matt Di Angelo, Kimberley Nixon, Rebekah Staton, Angela Griffin, Joel Fry. Con O'Neill and Luke Bailey.
