Background info and plot
In 2015 The CW's online streaming platform CW Seed has launched an animated superhero adventure series based on Mari McCabe/Vixen character from DC Comics. On October 13, 2016 the second season of Vixen debuted with six new episodes. The show's produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Blue Ribbon Content and DC Entertainment and executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg.
Set in the same universe as Flash, The Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow, the show centers around Mari, who gains the superpowers of the animal kingdom through the Tantu Totem following the murder of her parents in Africa, and utilizes them as Vixen to protect the world. In the second season Mari confronts Macalester regarding her kidnapping, fights Weather Wizard, attempts to stop the fire totem, and has to find a way to defeat Eshu with assistance from the water totem.
