About the series
Slugterra is an action/adventure sci-fi animated series produced in Canada and airing on Family in Canada since 2012. The current fourth season debuted on October 4, 2016. The show is created and developed by Asaph Fipke in collaboration with Chuck Johnson. Fipke and Johnson executive produce along with Ken Faler and Rob Hoegee, and Nerd Corps Entertainment and DHX Media are responsible for the production.
Slugterra is, appropriately, inhabited by slugs, who have special powers related to their primary elements – fire, air, water, earth and energy, while the secondary elements are steel, toxic, ice and psychic. 15-year-old Eli Shane sets out to be the greatest slug-slinging hero ever, and explores the intricate underground world with his team, challenging rivals and protecting the little critters from the evil Dr. Blakk and his terrible plans.
