On August 11, 2022 Studio C came to the Springville Senior Center in Springville Utah to film several of our seniors in two skits. It was amazing and so much fun to be able to participate in this filming. They told us it would air in 2 to 3 months. At this point we have heard absolutly nothing. People come to me because I was in one of the skits and keep asking me if I knew when it would be showing. Of course I have heard nothing as well as the Director of the center Tori Eaton. Is there anyway we can find out any information on this? I would appreciate is so much. I do want to say that everyone we worked with on this skit was amazing. Thanking you Beulah Astle
I must have started watching Studio C from about season 3 until now at the end of season 16. Like most people I loved the original cast but I also enjoyed the new faces. As new cast members were added they grew together with the other cast members and I could enjoy their contributions to comedy. Since I miss new shows being added I went back to the beginning and watched all the seasons again. Comedy is especially important to me now that I have a debilitating disease and the laughter is so healing. I send my favorites out to anyone who needs a laugh and they appreciate it too. The laughter helps my friends who get stressed out with so many responsibilities. Laugher is great medicine. Thank you Studio C. I hope you keep going.
And Naomi Winders is fantastic as well. I love all of the cast but those stood out to me the most. Horses for Courses, you either like it or you don't. I know I do.
I have to say, when the original cast left I was sad. I really enjoyed them and they were fantastic. When the new cast came in I was disappointed and I didn't like it. I stopped watching for at least a few years. When I started classes, I was limited to a select few shows and movies. I started to watch Studio C again, though i'm not quite sure it was approved, and I have to say I really enjoyed it. They bring a new side of the story. They aren't the same as the last group, but they don't really need to be. I have had some great laughs over many of the skits and I have to say it has grown on me a lot. I especially love Tanner Gillman. He is very energetic and passionate. I also love to watch Dalton as he is really good at keeping a straight face while he says some of the most hilarious things. I am also glad that Jason came back as well, because it brings back some of the old concepts from before.
The writing is not as intelligent since the latest cast took over. It very disappointing. It's like they hired stand up comedians rather than hiring solid comedic actors - two different things. The original casted played it straight, even cried when the skit called for it! That is what made the comedy work, and the genius social/political satire. The new cast is too low brow, bad/campy acting and the writing is garbage. I've laughed maybe once an episode for the past four seasons vs at least once a skit with the original cast. Skits that require build to make it funny (Tanner as the weather man in Back To You) start out way to high in energy and emotion; there's no subtlety. They've had some gems, don't get me wrong. But it seems like it would take a whole season to make up one good episode taking out the well written, well acted skits. Too bad. If ain't broke, don't fix it BYU.
Well let's look at your writing shall we. 1) "It very disappointing." You should've written it's very disappointing. Ain't ISN'T A WORD! Looks like your writing isn't very intelligent at all. Your writing is broke and you need to fix it. Also the new cast is doing a fantastic job! You should write a comedic sketch and see how hard it is. Plus memorize, costume check, & etc. It's not easy but though it's fun when you have fun people to work with you as a team.

I agree. They new cast needs to up their game with sketch comedy. I love Jason Gray but he can’t support the whole show. I feel that there’s a lot of potential but the cast are trying too hard and will even say things like “ Look at how funny we are! Aren’t we so funny?” I miss the original cast. I really want to enjoy Studio C again. Something needs to change. It’s not funny anymore.
