A new reality series with an original and inventive premise, This is High School premiered on October 2, 2016 on CBC in Canada. The first season of the show, produced by Paperny Entertainment and CBC, contains six one-hour episodes. It is executive produced by David Paperny, Audrey Mehler and Cal Shumiatcher. The reality series is based on the award-winning UK series Educating Essex, and is the first ever adaptation of the format on North American soil.
Do you ever wish that you had at least a glimpse into the way your teenage children behave away from home? The series does just that – it provides incredible access to day-to-day life at a Canadian high school as seen through 48 fixed and 2 moving cameras and 60 microphones positioned in strategic spots. The school featured is South Kamloops Secondary School in Kamloops, B.C., which is home to over a thousand students in grades 8 through 12.
