? ? Do not like Bourdain . Nauseating narcissistic that he is, this is supposed to be about cooking & traveling. Just couldn't stay tuned. How is this show still on the air?? ?
Got excited when Wikipedia said that Parts Unknown Season 10 was slated to premier with an episode on Singapore, but it looks like the renewal of the series is still up in the air. AB:PU is the only reason I tune into CNN and have it favorited as a channel on the DVR. Yes, Bourdain is very liberal and takes cheap and snarky shots at Trump, conservatives, republicans, etc., but as with our very liberal friends, you agree to disagree where applicable, but embrace and appreciate the common ground, which vis a vis Bourdain and myself would be a great appreciation of good food and drink, travel in Southeast Asia and the diverse cultures therein, some similarities in taste of music, and on rare occasions running a magazine or two the a variety of automatic/select-fire weapons where available at public or private ranges.
Bourdain has never made a secret of his personal views on any subject, and his direct-to-the-point, "Yeah, I'll say what most are thinking but afraid to say" irreverence continues to be a breath of fresh air in a genuine broadcast wasteland. When he is on his game he is, hands down, the best damned thing on television today. Skewered Bigots anyone? (Only served well done)
Bourdain parts unknown season 9 - Los Angeles......was really disappointed with tonights show which I had to turn off due to the incredible amount of political 'flavor' the first 15 minutes was filled with. I tuned in to tour parts of LA which I enjoyed multiple times where we could go to and 'old town' areas for original traditional cooking surpassed by none. When I turned it on again to double check my decision there was a comedian doing Trump jokes - off again to another channel....won't be tuning in any longer.
This country is going thru enough of this, tearing us apart at the seams and when we turn to a program long loved and appreciated we don't expect or need to be hit yet again with this rhetoric regardless of our political party. Bourdain- stick with your field.
