Series premise and production info
A new American reality TV series, Strut premiered on Oxygen on September 20, 2016, while its first episode was released online one week prior to the broadcast debut. The show is executive produced by Whoopi Goldber, Tom Leonards, Stephanie Noonan Drachovitch and Bobby Sizemore and hails from One Hoe Productions, 44 Blue Productions and Thigh High Productions.
The series focuses on a group of transgender fashion models – their professional lives as well as personal relationships. Some of the issues are more relatable, like trying to make ends meet on a regular basis, while others are more rare and challenging. These highly visible and fiery personas have a responsibility to represent the transgender community, while they are struggling with problems of their own.
