Series concept and info
BBC has a great long-standing tradition of nature documentaries, and yet another one was introduced on September 1, 2016. A four-episode prime-time wildlife series Ingenious Animals explores the most amazing animal-related stories from around the globe, and nature has a seemingly inexhaustible supply of these stories in store for us. The program is produced by Oxford Scientific Films and executive produced by Alice Keens-Soper.
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, the host, and his team of experts travel the world in order to bring new facts and aspects of animal life into the spotlight. Each of the episodes features a central theme, and in this series they are: animal intelligence, relationships, communications and bodies. The first episode takes Hugh to Florida, Canada, the Bahamas, Cambodia and Kenya, where he discovers the ways in which different species are smarter than we think. Subsequent episodes take the team to South Africa, Austria, French Alps, Australia, Costa Rica and many other places to find more wondrous natural occurrences.
