Utterly compelling. Superb Freeman. More, more, more. You can't stop here. I've watched them all (from The Wire to Walking Dead) and this is righ up there. The plot and future potential is off the chart.

Loved every second.

MORE !!!

This is a great, multi-faced, entwined series. The characters are so well played. Don't let it rot on the vine, its genuinely different.

I like experimenting with series yet there are few that stand the test of more than a few episodes. Maybe Braindead, Hunted. A longer list of those I didn't see through. But Start up swamped conscious thought, I actively paced viewing to satisfy addiction. MF intense, engaging and played a perfect dichotomy of a guy that was trying to so hard to not succumb to the malevolence that twisted him. But as a headliner lead he provided a parallel story to that which was most grabbing. The trio, their plot lines acting scripts poise (I don't know what to call it I;ve not got a creative bone in me) was thrilling to watch. Edi as Ronald was gripping, natural born leader let alone killer, with ethical balance of a prophet. He deserves merit and accolade for his part. If you like watching series and it doesn't need to be fantastical or in space watch now!
To the naysayers who said "too slow, not deep, too explicit", you've burnt out, get a new job!! Bring on season 2

This is the best disaster upon disaster upon disaster series I have seen. Utterly compelling and addictive, as you have to watch the next episode to see if their problems can get any worse --- and they do, on a scale of one to ten.

One being the first episode and ten the final of the series.

A really original story, with brilliant scripwriting, and a great mix of characters: bankers, FBI, millionaire company owners, Haitian and Russian mafia, hackers and IT geniuses.

There is a lot to learn in this series.

I wrote a comment that was way too long so to paraphrase - I have watched about every show out there and this ranks up there with the best. I like shows that are realistic and about normal people and this show is just that. It's much like The Wire, and the only reason it won't succeed is because Crackle isn't well known. Perhaps offering the first 1-3 episodes free online it'd draw others in to show what they are capable of producing. Please bring us a second season!

Loved this !!!! Started watching it on the off chance it might pass an hour well, just spent the day watching them all. I have tried so many series and forced myself to watch one or two episodes. I had thought I just did not like these series- this was pure magic, class and emotion.

I pray for series two!!!!!!

Just read 2 reviews for this show - after watching the whole season yesterday. It seems like the critics actually want shows to be more like what I don't want them to be like.
Think its okay to still be developing characters for the whole first season, rather than just the first few episodes then forget about it.
It does have a few scenes that go on for unusually long time, that's okay too in my book. One of my biggest annoyances in a show is no dialogue/banter (extras that weirdly don't say anything - to avoid giving them another 10quid), scenes that last seconds - heard that this is supposed to be because your own mind fills in the blank spaces and develops the character/scene, which I think is completely flawed approach when it is the only delivery technique used.
Liked this show, it definitely has something on the brew

These so-called critics don't know a [censored]ed thing about reviewing a show! This is a well done, and interesting series. There MUST be a S2. The sheer emotionality of the actors was skillfully played. Their acting is second to none! It is ingenious the way the characters are shaped in the series. This and the flow of the plot seems so effortless. The psyche of the FBI agent (Rask) is ingenious. He is so twisted, acting as if he is such an upstanding FBI agent. He really is as corrupt as they come, but with a touch of insanity which makes him even more interesting and appealing to the viewer. Nick, though he constantly finds himself in a conundrum, always rises to the top. He's such a nice and clean-cut guy, considering the slimy one who sired him. Ronald plays his role well as the gangster with a conscience, who also has a good wife with two kids at home waiting for him. He has plans for his family and his community "Little Haiti". I am rooting for Izzy to regain her company. Love it!!

I binge-watched the show in 2 days. I don't get why the critics' reviews are lukewarm. It may not be the next Breaking Bad or whatever, but it's a fantastic show. Got me hooked. I need to know about Izzy. She's not a super nice person but homegirl needs to get her company back. Not to mention avenge her sister! And that whole Alex Bell thing, I need to know what's up with that. And also that Rask guy, will he get to live? Or will he get his final comeuppance?

I ate 8 episodes in one sitting late night/early morning, went to work (drank four cups of coffee) and watched the last two episodes later that night. Watching the season again with a friend. Looking through the oven door for the next Crackle #Startup cake. We're hungry.

This show is amazing. I recently stumbled upon it based on a recommendation by IMDb,boy was I thoroughly entertained! as it hit the nail on the head for a unique crime drama series. I really do hope it gets a second season because it would be shame if they cancelled it.
