I loved this show and wanted to see how all the characters lives evolved. Honestly, I would have been disappointed if they canceled it after 25 seasons.

I am so disappointed that the show has been canceled. To me, it was a slice of life with an NZ twist. People were leading normal lives, and I got to engage with very normal people, not situations where I think, "Oh, come on. People don't really act that way." It was a great show that I always looked forward to." So, if my comments are a vote to bring the show back, which in my mind left everything dangling and unresolved, then I hope someone is listening. If not, then consider this my thanks to the writers, directors, producers, and actors that did a great job entertaining me.

Love this series. I watch a lot of Britsh AU and NZ programs and this one is one of my favorites. The story line the characters, they all seem to mesh. I find myself emerged in the emotions of the characters. One big point i would like to make and hope it gets across to producers here in the USA. The subtle political stants and the bad language in movies and TV have no place. I watch to escape from that mess.

I've seen a lot of conflicting news stories about 800 Words season 4 saying it's renewed and already done filming or just cancelled. Which is it!? I'm in the US and most shows here are terrible. 800 Words was an awesome show! Please bring it back!

Love, love, love 800 Words!! I can’t believe it is cancelled with so much yet to be told. I’m in So Cal & prefer AU, NZ& British shows over 90% of our sorely lacking shows. I hope the powers that be reverse this decision.

oversixty dot com/au has an article from 21 August 2018 where "George" makes comments on teh cancellation. Last line = after Season 4 !

GREAT cast, great stories and location. I'm really sad to see it end, but so glad my wife

Great show. Well written. Cast is superb. TRUE entertainment of the HUMAN KIND! Heartbreaking to see this not renewed... After all, this is HIGH QUALITY and what will fill it's slots? More of he usual inane [censored] in contrast? This show is a GEM! GEMS are rare and good! We could all do with more gems and less lumps of plastic coal that are so prevalent in the industry these days!

I hope there will be a season 4! Been streaming uk shows for a few years now,here in u.s.. So much better than u.s. productions! 800 words is a show that makes you feel good,and can’t we all use that! The characters are quirky but real,writing is clever and comedic but surprisingly deep at times. Very enjoyable,hope it sticks around for a bit.

The above is effectively 'fake news' in that, as can be seen in the topic EPISODES appearing near the top of this page, Episode *9* of *Series 3* was broadcast on August 14 2018. The fact that Series 3 was on hiatus for almost a year between Episodes 8 and 9 seems to have confused many people into wrongly assuming this was Episode 1 of Series 4, which apparently, in part, has resulted in so many bogus posts online indicating existence of both past and future false indications of any Series 4.

I am in US and 800 Words is one of my favorite shows. There is so little on TV that is not a reality (ugh) show or that doesn't contain violence or vulgarity. It's so refreshing to have a show with both drama and comedy that just makes you feel good and leaves you wanting more. It kind of makes makes me want to be there. Looking forward to Season 4 and wishing for more.

Being a fan of BBC TV, I stumbled upon 800 Words. It immediately reminded me of Northern Exposure, New Zealand style with it's cast of zany characters. I immediately became a fan and knowing it only had 3 seasons, held off the urge to binge watch. The final episode was a cliff hanger with George saying yes, but to who's proposal; Katy's or Fiona's. Now that the show is returning for a 4th season, I'll be able to find out if my suspicions were correct.

I was so delighted to have discovered 800 Words on Acorn TV. It allowed me to watch all 3 series and I am sucked into the lives of the residents of Weld. I travel back and forth from Los Angels to Australia a few times a year and when I’m not in Oz I miss it. I know this show is based in New Zealand but has an Australian connection. It has great characters, the stories keep me intrigued, great writing and great actors. I can’t wait for series 4 to be available for viewing... thank you for the wonderful entertainment.

I stumbled on this show after I had binge watched all of Midsomer Murders, Vera, and Brokenwood Mysteries. I prefer the "real" characters of British and Australian TV. Every character doesn't look like they came off the runway at the latest fashion show. I must admit this is my new favorite. 800 Words is full of good acting and good writing. I just watched the last episode of Season 3 and was hoping for 8 more, as Season 2 had 16. I'm already in withdrawal!!! I hope Season 4 is coming soon!
