About the show and cast
Borderline is a British mockumentary sitcom created and written by Chris Gau and Michael Orton-Toliver. The comedy is executive produced by Gau, Orton-Toliver, Ralf Little and Sarah Doole and produced by Little Rock Pictures. The first series originally debuted on August 2nd, 2016 with six half-hour episodes on the British network Channel 5 and has since been renewed for a second season, which kicked off on October 26th, 2017 with brand new episodes.
The show is centered on border immigration officials serving their duty at a fictional UK airport of Northend. A notable feature of the production is the fact that Borderline is “retro-scripted”, with dialogue and action scenes improvised by the actors based on a detailed plot outline provided to them. Alexander Aguila (Alfredo), David Ballam (Agent David Bort), Wilmer Calderon (Diego), Erick Chavarria (Chu Chu), Amaris Dupree (Agent Lopez), Eric Curtis Johnson (Agent Bob Dill) are among the key cast members.
