Series storyline and production info
On August 1, 2016 Disney XD launched a new comic science fiction animated show Future-Worm! The series is created and executive produced by Emmy Award-winning animator and director Ryan Quincy, narrated by Corey Burton and produced by Disney Television Studios, Quincy Productions and Bento Box Entertainment. Titmouse, Inc. is behind the animation. Four shorts aired in 2015 before the series premiere in 2016.
The plot of Future-Worm! revolves around 12-year-old Danny Douglas and his breakthrough invention of a time machine that doubles as a lunch box. He sends it into the past, but it is drawn into the future by the scientists of that time. They transform it into a talking worm complete with numerous superpowers, namely, a Future-Worm, who then travels back to Danny's time, befriends him and together with their friend Bug they embark on many exciting adventures.
