Celebrity First Dates is a celebrity edition of First Dates, a hit British reality series that has aired on Channel 4 since 2013 and has broadcast 6 series. The spinoff began as a part of a fundraising event for Stand Up to Cancer on October 12, 2015, and a 4-episode series has premiered on July 8, 2016. Brian Protheroe narrates the show, and Simon Dickson, Meredith Chambers, Sam Whitaker, Kate Morey and Kathleen Larkin act as executive producers. The series hails from Twenty Twenty Television, Shed Media and Channel 4 Television Corporation.
The current series features Esther Rantzen, Jessica Wright, Will Bayley, Richard Blackwood, Ashleigh Butler, Jo Wood, Scarlett Moffatt, Preson, Brad Simpson, Natasha Hamilton, Bernie Clifton, Keegan Hirst, Daniel Brocklebank, Jessica, Siân Lloyd and Musharaf Asgar. All of these celebs go out on dates with members of the public. The setting is the same as in original First Dates series – the First Dates restaurant opens its doors to singles who are looking for a significant other.
