Big Brother was last broadcast in 2018 on Channel 5 after first airing in 2000 on Channel 4.
After months of rumours, ITV tonight officially announced that it is to launch a brand new series of the show on ITV2 in 2023.
ITV have delayed the start date of Big Brother 2023 from Spring to Autumn 2023.
With the 2025 Summer Music Festival Season now finished for another year, the children have started school for the 2026/2027 Academic Year which begins on Wednesday 2 September 2026 as Autumn Term 2026, the countdown begins for Civilian Big Brother Series 23 (BB23) which is scheduled to air on ITV2 this September. The trailer features a yellow hand emerging from a pool of eye[censored], throwing one of them which lands in front of a camera with an eyeball as the lens. Further eye[censored] are released from a chute within the wall, some of which bounce into a teacup with a picture of an eyeball in. Several of the eye[censored] are then seen travelling along a metal ramp, before the eye in itself is revealed. The eye depicts a purple background with various different coloured mazes, amongst them is 25 eye[censored], as a nod to the 25th anniversary of the show. Also featured are two sets of stairs and several doors. The purple, orange and white eyeball in the centre is surrounded by an orange and green spiral pattern similar to that used for Big Brother UK Series 3 (2002).
