Big Brother is officially BACK with ITV announcing a reboot of the hit reality series for next year.

Big Brother was last broadcast in 2018 on Channel 5 after first airing in 2000 on Channel 4.

After months of rumours, ITV tonight officially announced that it is to launch a brand new series of the show on ITV2 in 2023.

ITV have delayed the start date of Big Brother 2023 from Spring to Autumn 2023.

Who will succeed Richard Storry as the winner of BB23?

20 new housemates will take part in the ultimate social experiment with a variety of nominations, evictions and tasks (no walkouts or ejections).

Bad news Regular Big Brother UK Fans! Due to a drop in ratings, it will be the last Regular Big Brother UK to air on ITV2 after 26 years and 23 series. Big Brother was initially broadcast on Channel 4 from July 2000 to September 2010 before moving to Channel 5 from September 2011 to November 2018.

First Wednesday: Regular housemates begin nominations ahead of the the first nightly eviction on Friday.

First Friday: First regular housemate eviction followed by the post-eviction interview on Regular Big Brother: Late and Live with AJ Odudu and Will Best.

November 2026: Live Final with AJ Odudu and Will Best for the announcement of the regular housemates' finalists ranging from 6th place finalist to winner and runner-up. Richard Storry has been crowned as Big Brother UK 2025 Winner and Mr. Storry is the oldest winner at the age of 60 compared to Cameron Cole in 2018 when Mr. Cole was the youngest winner aged just 19.

Good news Big Brother UK Fans! Big Brother UK has been renewed by ITV2 for Series 23!

AJ Odudu and Will Best will reprise as hosts.

The Big Brother UK 2026 Live Launch is expected to take place either in September 2026 or October 2026.

16 brand new housemates (8 men and 8 women) will take up residence for at least 6-7 weeks in the famous Big Brother House at Versa Studios.

The companion show, Big Brother: Late and Live will return as well as the daily nominations, tasks and evictions.

The Big Brother UK 2026 Live Final is expected to take place in November 2026.

Big Brother Series 22 ends on Friday 14 November 2025 and I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! Series 25 returns in 2 days' time on ITV1 at 9pm.

We will be saying goodbye to AJ Odudu and Will Best for another year and we will welcome Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly in Australia ready for the all-important jungle action for the next 3 weeks!

The 2026 New Year Honours will take place on Monday 29 December 2025 will consist women only: both the England's UEFA Women's Euro 2025 winners (won on Sunday 27 July 2025 in St. Jakob's Park Stadium in Basel, Switzerland under the leadership of Sarina Wiegman) and the England's 2025 Women's Rugby Union World Cup winners (won on Saturday 27 September 2025 in Twickenham Allianz Stadium in Twickenham, England under the leadership of John Mitchell).

The UEFA Women's European Football Championship was first held in 1984 and Sweden Women won the inaugural title. England Women are the current winners since winning gold on Sunday 27 July 2025 at St. Jakob's Park Stadium in Basel, Switzerland.

The premiere airdate for Big Brother Series 22 has been confirmed for Sunday 28 September 2025 on ITV2 at 9pm, just 1 day after the Closing Ceremony and the Grand Final of the 2025 Women's Rugby Union World Cup at Twickenham Allianz Stadium. England will win the 2025 Women's Rugby Union World Cup for the first time since 2014 and New Zealand as runners-up for the first time ever.

AJ Odudu and Will Best will reprise their roles as hosts.

There will be 42 episodes.

16 new civilian housemates will enter the Big Brother House for at least 48 days.

Tasks, nominations and evictions will return.

The Grand Final will take place on Friday 14 November 2025 at 9pm on ITV2.

The eye logo for Big Brother UK Series 22 (2025) has been revealed. The trailer features a yellow hand emerging from a pool of eye[censored], throwing one of them which lands in front of a camera with an eyeball as the lens. Further eye[censored] are released from a chute within the wall, some of which bounce into a teacup with a picture of an eyeball in. Several of the eye[censored] are then seen travelling along a metal ramp, before the eye in itself is revealed. The eye depicts a purple background with various different coloured mazes, amongst them is 25 eye[censored], as a nod to the 25th anniversary of the show. Also featured are two sets of stairs and several doors. The purple, orange and white eyeball in the centre is surrounded by an orange and green spiral pattern similar to that used for Big Brother UK Series 3 (2002).
