‘Stranger Things: The First Shadow” Coming To Broadway In March - Trailer
Everything We Know So Far About Stranger Things Season 5As of January 8, 2024, production for Stranger Things has officially resumed. As of July 15, marking the eight-year anniversary since Season 1, filming for Season 5 has reached its midpoint. Watch your old Hawkins friends (plus some new faces!) in action as they film the series' final chapter in the video above.
On Stranger Things Day 2022, the premiere episode title for Season 5 was revealed: "The Crawl." We've been speculating ever since: What does "The Crawl" mean? Who's crawling? Why are they crawling? And where are they crawling to?
The writers of Stranger Things began crafting Season 5 on August 2, 2022, just about a month after the debut of Season 4, Volume 2. Since then, they've kept fans updated on their progress, starting with the grid stage for each episode on August 25, 2022, and completing that grid by September 20, 2022.
Wondering about new cast members in Stranger Things Season 5? Absolutely! Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, and Alex Breaux are joining the ensemble. At 2023’s Tudum: A Global Fan Event, Linda Hamilton (known for The Terminator, Children of the Corn, Chuck) announced her participation in the final season. Her role remains as mysterious as the Upside Down itself, but one thing's for sure: she's a passionate fan of the series. "I don't know how to be a fangirl and an actress at the same time," she remarked in her video announcement at Tudum. "I'm gonna work on that."

Stranger Things is coming to Broadway as a play! No official announcement has been made yet, but the casting notice refers to a "production in 2025."
Millie Bobby Brown Says ‘Stranger Things 5’ Has 9 Months of Filming Left
It's reasonable to anticipate a significant number of casualties in the upcoming final season. Historically, the series has tended to eliminate newly introduced characters, even though their deaths were emotionally impactful (such as Barbara Holland, Bob Newby, and Eddie Munson, all perishing in the same season they were introduced). However, in Season 5, all assumptions are off the table—no character is exempt from potential harm.
Despite the unpredictable dangers, there's one character who may emerge unscathed. The telekinetic teenager Eleven, also known as Jane Hopper, stands as Hawkins' last line of defense against the formidable "dark wizard" Vecna, who recently resurfaced in a new Stranger Things prequel. While each character in the series is a hero in their own right, including Steve Harrington, Nancy Wheeler, and Jim Hopper, Eleven's superpowers uniquely position her to confront Vecna.
It's challenging for fans to envision the demise of the beloved and seemingly invincible Eleven. Moreover, the thought of another actor portraying her, aside from the synonymous Millie Bobby Brown, is even more unsettling. However, rumors suggest that Linda Hamilton, the iconic Terminator star cast in Season 5, will portray an older version of Eleven, hinting at the character's survival well beyond the Hawkins battle.

UPDATE: ‘Stranger Things’ filming halted because of writers’ strike. No word yet if this will delay the release.Because of the writers' strike, preparations for the fifth and final season of "Stranger Things" have been put on hold.
The Duffer brothers, who are the show's co-creators and co-showrunners, posted a statement over the weekend on the writers' room account for the Netflix series.
The Writers Guild of America (WGA) went on strike on May 2 in an effort to get studios and streaming services to improve their pay and make other concessions.
Stranger Things season 5 is officially underway, with the Stranger Things writers' Twitter account confirming the news by posting a picture of a white board with the series logo captioned 'Day 1'.
With the pandemic no longer causing production delays, we could see the series' final outing land as early as 2024.

All details for Stranger Things Season 5 in this short video:
The Duffer brothers flat-out told Variety that the wait shouldn't be as long this time, but also, they haven't started filming yet. So we'd estimate a year and a half, which would put the show in early 2024. (David Harbour, who plays Hopper, is guessing mid-2024.)

In addition to the climactic renewal, the company said the long-awaited Season 4 of the show will premiere in two “volumes,” the first on May 27 and the second on July 1. In an open letter to fans, co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer said the split season resulted from the season’s nine episodes having a total running time twice as long as that of any previous season.
The Duffer Bros noted that the full arc was expected to be “four or five” seasons when they first envisioned the show, so the end is not a surprise. Plus, it won’t be the end of the franchise, they promised.
“There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of Stranger Things: new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes,” they wrote. “But first we hope you stay with us as we finish this tale.” (source: Deadline. com)
During its Stranger Things Day event on Sat urday, Netflix revealed that the series starring Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and Noah Schnapp will make its debut in Summer 2022.
Netflix also revealed the titles for all nine Season 4 episodes – some refer to series characters and others tease what could be climactic moments. See them all below:
