The satirical comedy soap opera lampooning the lives of the royal family is to return for a fourth series on Channel 4, which will include a special episode ahead of The King's Coronation in May.

Written by Bert Tyler-Moore and George Jeffrie, and produced by Noho Film and TV, the first series of The Windsors in 2016 was the highest rating comedy series launch on Channel 4 since 2014. The most recent series aired in 2020.

Speaking on BBC Radio 4's Saturday Live programme and revealing the news, Haydn Gwynne, who plays Camila said: "[The Windsors] has commissioned another series, which we will be shooting later this year. But also, we're going to be very soon doing a Coronation special." (Source: tvzoneuk.com)

I love this programme so much. Looking forward to the new season scheduled for this year 2023. Funniest programme i have seen for many years.. All the characters are a scream. Bless them love them all. Harry is my favourite. i love it when there is a close up of him eating that pie.. the sound effects hahha [bigsmile]

I love this series so much.. I have seen the Coronation special. When are they going to do more on Series 4... Can we have a release date? Its the funniest programme i have seen in years. I love it so much and I am hooked.

I havn’t Enjoyed anything as much as this show for ages!
Please renew it for a third series.
We have Charles at 60, The new baby , Princess Eugenies wedding, Meghan announcing her pregnancy the day of Eugenies wedding to Prince Andrews fury.. Phil’s car crash! There must be some mileage in all of that.
Have told so many people to watch it!

The writing is so sharp, the characters wonderful and the lines endlessly quotable. In these times of darkness the Winsors stand godlike between us worthless peasants and the yawning abyss of equality and socialism.

LOVE the Windsors! We discovered it on Netflix in the U.S. & have watched both seasons & the Wedding special, which were all hilarous! (Camilla is our absolute favorite!) It's the one show that my husband & I can actually agree on--please give us a Season 3!

Please give us series 3, 4, 5, 6, etc. Just stumbled across this series a few months ago, and it is absolute genius. Everyone in the family loves it, right up to the 90 year old. We’ve watched both series through twice over, so we REALLY need some new ones.

This is classic British comedy in the same league as Fawlty Towers, Porridge, Dad’s Army - a rare classic that will stand the test of time. Please make more!

I am across the pond and just recently stumbled upon this absolute gem of a programme! I have watched every episode at least 4 times; I can't get enough! It may well be one of the funniest shows I have ever seen. Please, RENEW THIS PROGRAMME! I have been telling everyone I know to watch it as it is quite simply brilliant in every possible way.
