About the show

UP TV's newest original unscripted series Small Town, Big Mayor has premiered on March 31, 2016. The docu-series is produced by American Chainsaws Entertainment and Captain Al's Big Big Pictures and executive produced by Royal Malloy, Colt Straub, Duke Straub and Alex Eastburg, with Eastburg also serving as the showrunner.

John Henry Berry, the passionate and energetic mayor of the charming tiny town of D'Lo, Mississippi is in the spotlight of the series. The 456 residents of D'Lo live the idyllic life in their tight-knit community, with one major issue facing them – their number is dwindling quickly since many prefer to move to bigger towns and cities in search of a better life. The mayor, who is a 4th generation D'Lo native, has made vows to restore the town to its past glory and breath new life into it. Mr. Berry has a 95-point plan to revitalize his beloved town, and besides being a mayor he has his hands full. He is a married man with four children, a volunteer fireman, sewer repairman, dog catcher, town arbitrator, landscaper, as well as high school football announcer, Parish drummer and 4H Firearms instructor. What's his plan and will he be able to carry it out?

My late wife loved this show so much we went out of our way to visit D'Lo in 2017. To our disappointment the mayor was out of town that day but we did enjoy visiting the town.

Small Town Big Mayor is the new Andy Griffith show. Nothing beats truth, justice and the American way. Morals, Responsibility, Kindness, Caring and Values is what this small town is all about. We need more Small Town Big Mayor attitude in this world. Yes, I grew up in a small town where every body knew your name. I want my grandchildren to watch this show, so that they will understand when I say; We were raised that way. Please put the show back on. Also love the Bates. Maybe its because I was literally born and raised on a mountain top in East Tennessee. True goodness never goes out of fashion. Life is to short to be mean to others. That is how myself and my six sisters were raised.

Really love this show!! Please renew! We made it a point to visit D'lo last month and it's just as charming in person. We visited at the town hall for quite awhile and had a great time!

This is the best new show we've seen in many years and we sure hope it continues. Good people, great story lines. No meanness, no cutthroats, no angry drama, no smut, no bad language and guess what...it's still engaging. ? ? So refreshing. A great escape from the pressure cooker of life.

I really hope UpTV renews Small Town, Big Mayor. I love how Mayor Berry is working so hard to revive his town. I really want to see this town succeed! This show is every bit as good, maybe better, as Bringing Up Bates. Please give us more Small Town, Big Mayor!

I love this little show!!!!! Please do t cancel it, because I want to see all 95 points come to fruition. To stop short would be very awful. Up needs to keep its loyal viewers by going the full route of all 95 points being seen. Otherwise why would we invest ourselves in any of your programs???

My husband and I just watched the Up Channel's first and only showing of Small Town, Big Mayor. We loved it and can't understand why there have been no further shows in the series. What's even worse, I've been unable to find any really definitive information as to why there have been no other showings. It's a great, funny program worthy of more than one shot...I mean, how can any one program's ratings be based on just a single program? After all, look what happened with Duck Dynasty another one of our favorite shows!
Come on people...have a heart and bring this little gem of a show back...VERY SOON.
