Series information, plot and cast
Boomers is a British sitcom broadcast on BBC One since 2014, with a Christmas special that aired in December 2015. It is presently in its second series that debuted on March 25, 2016 and is slated to contain six episodes. Hat Trick Productions is behind the making of the series, which was created and written by Richard Pinto and executive produced by Jimmy Mulville, Shane Allen and Gregori Sharp.
Three retirement-age couples are portrayed in this comedy series as they are attempting to come to terms with the new developments in their lives. The show stars Russ Abbott, Stephanie Beachman, Philip Jackson, James Smith, Alison Steadman, June Whitfield and Paula Whilcox as aging baby boomers arguing, laughing, gossiping and nagging each other. The issues that the tireless retirees face in this series include drug abuse, camping and sexual experiments – and they certainly make retirement look like fun with no jobs, no children to raise, and some exciting adventures to look forward to.
