Program concept and production info

Life or Debt is an all-new and poignant reality series airing on Spike TV since March 1, 2016. The series was developed and produced by Ugly Brother Studios, with Tim Duffy, Mike Duffy and Tim Warren executive producing. The first season of Life or Debt is set to contain 10 one-hour episodes.

At a time when three quarters of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck with no safety cushion, it's way too easy to get into debt that very soon turns out to be an unbearable burden. Spike and personal finance consultant (not just any consultant, but an ex-Fortune 500 company's vice president) Victor Antonio attempt to assist a number of families on the verge of total financial ruin to regain a sense of stability and find a way out of the financial troubles of various scale. Some tough love, advice on how to streamline expenses and a revelation of the underlying problems that probably led the families to the situations that are portrayed are all a part of the show.

Love this show. Very informative and it really helped me get out of the paycheck to paycheck lifestyle. At the time that this show came out I was struggling financially and was trying to get out of debt. I found this show and it really opened my eyes to how to manage your money and more importantly how to run your life like a business. Since then I have been trying to run my life like a business. This show needs to be picked up for a second season. People need to see this show.

Loved this very informative series. This needs to be renewed for many Americans living from paycheck to paycheck. Cutting back debt is like a diet............it takes time and discipline. Bring this show back.

I agree, they need to renew this. Americans are in trouble. Most don't want to watch shows like this, but they need to. There is nothing sexy about this show, but it's what we need. My parents didn't teach me, and they don't teach this in schools, so where is the current generation and the next generation going to learn. BRING THIS SHOW BACK!!

I really hope they keep releasing new seasons of this show. It really opened my eyes to see how all Americans are living paycheck to paycheck even the ones who make great money and how spending too much can make people go beyond in debt. If there is one thing Victor taught me is you can be one bad day away from anything bad happening. Would love to see more episodes so I can see how everyone of every walk of life lives and how he helps them. I really admire the fact that he always mentions that his mother was a single parent trying to make ends meet and it really inspires myself as a single parent that it is possible to make good money and be able to live a good life without too much debt!

I love LIfe or Debt and really hope it gets renewed. The people who go on this show are very brave to open up their finances like they do and I love Victor's approach. Especially when he looks at the participants like they have two heads because of their bad money decisions. I really enjoyed Sunday evenings with Bar Rescue and Life or Debt. Please bring this show back!

Great show. Lots of great tips helping to make the decision and practical application for clearing up financial life quickly. Hope the show continues to the second season and evolves to show more types of financial fixes. Would like to see show expand to include more creative options for cutting expenses, and also more options for starting small businesses vice or as a follow-on to getting a stable career/job. Also, interested in show covering workers stuck in very low wage /poverty cycle and also workers on fixed incomes or in retirement. Thanks and keep up the good work.

America needs this show. People can learn from the episodes and not make the same mistakes as the people in them. Victor Antonio is a fair person when it comes to dealing with people who cant live above their means.
