"60 Days In" is a reality television series that premiered on A&E Network in March 2016. The show follows a group of volunteers who go undercover as inmates in various correctional facilities across the United States for 60 days.

The participants, who are from diverse backgrounds and have no criminal history, are given cover stories and are housed among the general population in the facilities. They must navigate the harsh realities of life behind bars, including violence, gang activity, and inmate politics. The participants are monitored by the show's production team and are provided with support from law enforcement officials and mental health professionals.

The goal of the show is to provide an inside look into the challenges faced by inmates and the correctional system, as well as to identify potential areas for improvement. The participants are encouraged to gather information and report back to the show's producers on their experiences and observations.

"60 Days In" has been praised for its unique and compelling premise, as well as its ability to shed light on the often-overlooked issues within the American correctional system. However, the show has also faced criticism for potentially endangering the safety of participants and for the ethical concerns surrounding the use of undercover tactics in reality television.

The show has aired over six seasons, with each season featuring a different group of volunteers and correctional facilities. It has also inspired similar shows in the reality television genre, including "Behind Bars: Rookie Year" and "Life Inside Jail: Hell on Earth."

@Robert Holcomb ...Robert, you were an embarrassment. As a damn woman, I wouldn't have been as scared as you were. No wonder you are single. No one wants a man who wears their panties on TOP of their pants. Plus, you are a teacher? Yo, I never saw anything like that....your students must be embarrassed too. Their all gonna laugh at you.....just like everybody that saw the show is still laughing at you! What kind of a man are you??? No one edited nothing....you were a b****, so don't try to act like you are all that now. Go be fake somewhere else....your 2 minutes of fame was over the day you went to isolation and faked being sick so you could go home. No one felt sorry for you.....The whole world knows you were a joke!!!!!

I am on the edge of my seat for the whole hour. Showing how one lives if you break the rules is frightening. The show should be shown in class rooms throughout the continent. I believe it sends a strong message to kids heading down the wrong road. Looking forward to season 2018.

Seasons 1 and 2 were just awesome. Season 3 was very different and not as good as the first two seasons. The first two seasons were produced flawlessly. The inmates were put in a few at a time and pulled out a few at a time. Their individual experiences were more intense and were the focus of the show.
That was definitely lost in Season 3. I liked Season 3, but I was at the edge of my seat and couldn't wait to see what would happen next in Seasons 1 & 2. It also seemed like the Sheriff was more involved in the first 2 seasons as well.

I also think the mediator was an important part of the show and he wasn't utilized in Season 3 either.

This is the BEST SHOW I have seen in about 10years. ALL SCHOOLS should have every kid watch this as a Freshman. It REALLY makes you wanna stay out of trouble!! Its MUCH better than Scared Straight! Sheriff Noel should be applauded# He is a genius! And it is refreshing to see that he REALLY CARES about his job & facility and wants to improve it for EVERYONE involved!

This comment is to Robert. U r a poor excuse of a human being. Jail n prison is no joke. If u think that it was like a walk in the park then you were u such a scardy cat to get out of seg n get back into the pod,not to mention fake an illness to quit the program. Were u scared that u might become someone's [censored]. These men who do wrong n r being punished for their crimes its hard on their mind n spirit from what I seen on the show there's no yard time or rec. Jails n prisons weren't meant to be a day in the park its to punish n deter crime n teach them a lesson. To me by ur actions ur not a man ur nothing but squeaky little mouse who had to run n hide like the mouse ur. Grow up [censored]

Robert, not only did I watch the 1st season, but so did a friend of mine who is in prison, not jail, but prison. And even me, who has never been to jail knows that you are a joke. You made a joke out of the program, and you took the place of someone who could have given REAL feedback.
Jail is NOT a country club or a vacation & you felt that there was no challenge to it. Maybe if you weren't so scared to go back to the pod you might have seen what it was really like.

Dude I gave you the benefit of the doubt and I watched your youtube video 60 days in=fake editing lol......everyone it's a wast of time, robert is and will always be a pathetic [censored]. Your video might have helped your case if you weren't reading from a [censored]ing pre written script lmao, really pathetic bro and you acually have tge nerve to tell others to down load your book, you need to change the name of the book to how not to be a [censored] ass wimp. You didn't do [censored] in jail, you got scared then hid and when it was time to come out of hiding you faked sick to go home. There is no use in lieing anymore just man up and admit you got scared and people will respect you more, don't sit there and lie and say it was fake, or they "edited" it

BI love this show. In my opinion it opens people's eyes to what to expect if they commit a crime. I just wish they would do this in other facilities. Like in the women's prison and Angola in Louisiana.

I love this show! I almost ended up in jail and I am glad that I managed to straighten myself out & stay away from drugs. This show reminds me to stay straight. I hope they do a season 3! I think its very important to correct the jail system. It seems that the correction officers arnt in charge at all! Keep the series going sheriff Noel!

This is definitely at first of its kind. Sheriff Noel and Captain Maples were amazing to be able to pull this off. I hope it helps the corrections system everywhere.

This show really reached me on a personal level.Being a recovering addict, doing jail time myself, and knowing how it truly feels to care and love for people incarcerated.Alot of people forget or don't realize just how many people in jail have mental illness or are addicted to drugs. This show can give people an understanding of all this.

I agree with you I've been to jail several times and once to prison I am a recovering addict and a multi felon people don't realize how quickly one can become institutionalized I thank God for my judge sending me to prison it changed my life for the better I've been clean for over to years now I have to deal with the stigma of being a felon for the rest of my life

One more thing Robert was just a [censored] he would of got punked out so quick if he would of returned to the pod or worse probably hurt severely and I've give it up to the sheriff's and how candid the we're in there discussions with Rebecca lol he better hope he really doesn't ever break the law and end up in that situation it's alot different having a set release date it's alot different when you have no clue when you be able to breath clean air again

Juanito,

I wholeheartedly agree. I myself have been incarcerated a few times. I like the way that the smart ones on the show figured out to A. mind there own business and B. Show basic respect to others. Those two things will take you far when you're locked up.

Had Robert been locked up any of the places I was locked up, he would have been beaten down and then probably turned out.
