The Internet Ruined My Life is a new unscripted series that premiered on SyFy on March 9, 2016. The series contains six 30-minute episodes.
The show explores issues relevant to social media and its dangers. Each episode portrays two compelling first-person accounts of how social media activity unexpectedly backfired in the most perilous ways. Tweets, hashtags, sexts, meme, profile pictures, and other things that have gone awry to the point of posing a serious life threat or driving people to attempted suicide. The stories are told through interviews and recreations of the real-life experiences.
