Unfortunately, the third series will also be the final chapter for the British remake of the popular Danish series The Bridge. The final series, subtitled “Vengeance”, has all the components of a relevant drama – Brexit, refugee crisis in Europe, growing influence of far-right political groups, and is centered on Karl and Elisa's standoff with a mysterious criminal duo.

Uh, to all who’ve commented here, I too am a big fan of the series, would love a season 4 and more but the brutal truth is the spark that made the show unique is gone: Elise is dead, she is gone and if the show were to continue in her absence it would be just another police show. Take time to grieve to let the pain pass and begin another series. If you’d like a suggestion I recommend Professor T, the original edition from Belgium on Masterpiece Theater/Amazon Prime. Another is The Twelve on Netflix. Good luck mes amis!

What is the matter with the powers that be producers??? Don’t they know they have a winning series?? I can understand if the actors are tired because they’re all so [censored] good!! It’s so disappointing to watch a few series of good writing and then shut it down. I hope they can resurrect this as there seems to be many disappointed fans ?

There's a much more complex criminal/political/personal landscape for The Tunnel Series 3.

Brexit, Trump, massive refugee movement into Europe. Sorry to say, continued terrorist threat ... anti migrant sentiment. Economies in trouble. British sell arms to Saudis who use in Yemen against Shia. In Syria, Shia and Russians keep Assad in his job. Chinese money for big infrastructure in east/central Europe.
How and where will Eryka be deployed by her bosses. Will it include saving children like herself this time, not avenging them? What did Elise 'see' as she pulled the pad from her right eye?

This is a wonderful show and we have a lot more to learn about it's main characters so please make another series. It is an intelligent and tense show and we love it.

Compared to season one, season two has a more interesting storyline , with well written characters developments. I keep recommanding this show to my friends and they are surprised how good the show is! And Please please bring Eryka back, I was so moved by the story between her and Elise and can't stop rewatching their scenes together. Clemence Poesy and Laura de Boer are such brilliant actresses, who made the characters so believable and not to mention the incredible chemistry between them, I can't wait for s 3!!!

Please please please let Eryka returns to season 3 :cry: ,the chemistry between Elise and Eryka is just so touching and obviously they are in love with each other and I don't know what to do if there is no Eryka in season 3 :cry:

Season 3 coming next year Spring 2017...woohoo!! I hope Eryka will be back. Her character is so intriguing and the chemistry between her and Elise is exceptional!

I know!!! I was shock with their role in the story. Something is certain and that is that Elise and Eryka fell in love with each other, I think that would be interesting if they try to keep in touch because of the legal status of Eryka at the series. :O

Got the end of series blues badly! I loved the bridge so was sceptical to begin with but the tunnel is easily just as good. Please let there be a series 3!!

Sky and C[censored]+ have to pick this up for another season, it's such a great production and IMO, even better than the original and other versions.

Unless Mr. Dillane is too busy filming his return for S7 for HBO? ;)

Didn't warm to the first series, as it was trying too hard to be the original Nordic series. LOVED the 2nd series, love the two leads. We need a 3rd series, a must do!

Definitely a great series. Got to have a third. The two main characters make a great team. Both superb actors. You really really really need a third series sand more. Great story lines, great ideas. I can't praise it enough.

A show which totally absorbs the viewer. The chemistry between Dillane and Poesey is electric. Completely loved season one and Emilia Fox being cast in Season 2 was excellent. More more more please.

Just finished watching the last episode of S2. Love it. This is a great example of a show where as the episodes progressed the the actors jelled and made their characters and interactions seamless and believable, and as a result we were totally immersed into their world. For a few brief moments, their world was our world, and reality was excluded.

Season 2 was IMHO even an improvement upon S1, but I hope S3 we get more then 8 episodes. Thank you cast and crew for your outstanding work.

Absolutely thrilling watching Elise's surprise romance development with Eryka, not to mention the nail biting conclusion when Elise got injected in the eye. I want to see Eryka brought back in season 3 there is so much more to explore. So happy they didn't kill this love story off.

:-) I loved the first Season of The Tunnel, I wouldn't shut up about it when I found out there was a second Season in Production, Now I've watched "The Tunnel Sabotage" I'm already suffering withdrawal symptoms. And checking Itunes for a release date. Please don't make me wait so long for a Third Season. As actors Clémence & Stephen just seem to click. but Karl & Elise they bring a certain reality to the characters, Casting is Brillant, Writing is weird, Acting is Hypnotic.
A big thank you to the Cast and Crew. They should be so proud of themselves.

Loved the first season. Second series of The Tunnel was brilliant the two main characters have a chemistry that works. The action and story were different from the first series. Found its in direction. I hope series three will happen. Established as a great detective show. The only problem I had was reading subtitles too fast too hard to read! The Foureyed Poet.

This is a main point of the shows appeal for me, The way it can switch seamlessly English to French.
But I know what you mean Malcolm, I'm greedy I watch it on Sky and C[censored] Plus. and the French Subtitles were equally as fast.

Loved it can't wait to see if there will be a series 3, I would literally get my housework done grab snacks and drinks and the phone so I don't have to get up, it was just brilliant x
