Series' info and concept

Based on a web series from 2013, Weediquette is a documentary series that premiered on Viceland on March 1st, 2016 with the first season. The network itself was launched just a day prior, on February 29th, 2016 and this is just one show in the breakout series lineup. Weediquette is hosted by Krishna Andavolu and is a Viceland in-house production, executive produced by Jordan Roberts, Eddy Moretti, Shane Smith and Spike Jonze. Having been renewed for overall four seasons so far, the latest installment kicked off on October 17th, 2017 with brand new episodes.

The series explores various aspects of the legal marijuana industry, which is growing ever so fast, with legalization laws already adopted in a number of states and probably more to come. The show is dedicated to medical marijuana usage, as its effectiveness in treating the side effects of chemotherapy has already been proven, but there are many instances of it being used in an attempt to actually cure cancer. Andavolu goes out to meet the parents of children with malignant tumors, who are treating their kids of various ages with THC. One thing we know for sure, and Andavolu once again confirms – keeping Marijuana on Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act, along with drugs like meth and heroin, is definitely making any research attempts regarding its medical value very difficult and slows down any potential progress.

It’s great what is happening here in this show. I only watched the first couple episodes and am not sure how far you have made it. I am no doctor. I have no college. I have spent the last 20 years of my life studying cannabis. I am a beeeder and a medical patient with PTSD. I was diagnosed with cancer 6 years ago. I knew some things so I skipped out on the hospital and went my own way. I am alive today and in great health. I cannot totally contribute my success to cannabis; however, cannabis played a very important roll in my treatment. Alongside cannabis oil I also used drinks highly concentrated with limonene, vitamin b complex, and vitamin C. With a slight change in diet, a distancing from carcinogens(quit my job and cigarettes), and an increase in physical activity I achieved a complete physical recovery and with the continued use of cannabis have lived the best and most succesful years of my life since. Just a little info maybe it can help. Love your show. Thanks again

Cannabis is the most useful plant on the planet; food, clothing, shelter, energy, medicine, insight, re-creation. It has been mankinds companion and helpmate since the beginning. Any law against it is a crime against humanity, creation and the Creator.

This is a great show, and I find it very informative. Here in Massachusetts, we have a pretty liberal medical program, and have the recreational question as Question 4 on our ballot this year. 65% of the state voted for medical and decriminalization. Recreational cannabis is expected to pass with a wide margin. Krishna should really come out here and see what's going on. It's pretty exciting.

I need your help ! WE THE MEDICINAL PATIENTS in Colorado Springs ,Colorado are having our plant count taken fom us by our mayor !! In light of the recent supreme court ruling too . He wants to write the prescriptions not the doctors !! He doesn't feel it has any valid medicinal properties! ! How he got to be mayor in a hub for medicinal migrants I'll never figure out. We do what we can by protesting peacefully as much as possible but are unable to even get our local media involved. ....in fear of being "involved"....it's wrong on every level ....I am reaching out for help and awareness if what's seriously going wrong in COLORADO ....please help us Weediquette and Vice km and ! This IS 15 minutes away from where Charlettes Web was cultivated and tested ....it started the revolution. ....help us here please with your station and a show that has brought awareness to so many ppl !!!!!! Seriously .....all kinds of WRONG is going on here !

Thanks for approving the 2nd season! I can't wait to see another season with Kreshna. I love the concept of the show and its overall presentation. Also really like the overall concept of the new Vice channel after seeing the interview with Jimmy Fallon. I also would love to see more of F*ck That's Delicious, [censored] Deep, & Huang's World. This is probably my new favorite channel.

Very informative and refreshing to see a series willing to shine light on the corruption the lawmakers love to bask in, all the while destroying peoples lives and spinning new lies for additional taxes and funding and payola for favors rendered. It has sickened me my whole life to watch DEA, FDA, EPA, Big Pharm, Federal Prison system, Law enforcement and many others all spout off about the great job they are doing. In reality the Billion Dollar Drug Cartels and all the criminal activity are a creation of these mindless laws and useless wasteful federal and State departments. I am sure no families are better off by imprisonment of their moms, dads or children which again create a whole new set of social troubles the lawmakers can use to gin up a new set of lies and funding needs and finally reelection. Demons! A far better way is Informative programs for addiction and other intervention are far more effective and they know it. The law has to be changed to fully legalize Federally.

I have chronic arthritis and smoke to help ease the pain at the end of a hard 10 hour work day standing! Without marijuana, I would not be able to sleep because the pain is so horrific when I lay down. I did the narcotic pain killers and I hated it, made me very sleepy and dehydrated. Please keep Weediquette on and let's inform the world how wonderful this medicine truly is. ;-)

Exactly,... iam so happy a network finally this on this matter. Weed has allways hlpd me. Frm a teen till now my mid 30s, i was strung on opiates legaly frm a dr. For 7 years for chronic back pain, weed helps alot essp.if i vape cbd oil right after. I live in N.C so its illegal here, I really think this show will help.legalize on a fed. Lvl thank you viceland.

Being a veteran of the first gulf war I am a proud advocate for choice. I had been an alcoholic for years after the war. It didn't do anything but get me in trouble. Lost jobs, relationships, and I feel my soul as well. Since medicating myself with cannabis only, I have been on a much better path. Even found my Saviour, Lord Jesus. Again it's about choosing and isn't that part of our declaration of independence, the pursuit of happiness? I am not "stoned" all day long, when I need a dose, I take one. I am a productive citizen, husband, and father, and hope that cannabis prohibition would be discontinued. Anyways love the show, and hope a second and perhaps even more seasons will be aired. Peace brothers and sisters! :-)
