Netflix has released several promising shows on March 11, 2016, among them is Netflix Presents: The Characters. It is a sketch comedy TV series that is comprised of eight unrelated half-hour episodes, each of which features one young stand-up comedian on the rise. The comics are Lauren Lapkus, Kate Berlant, Dr. Brown, Paul W. Downs, John Early, Tim Robbins, Natasha Rothwell and Henry Zebrowski.
The comedians were not limited by the producers in their choice of subject matter, style or artistic license, they could materialize their wildest ideas, and the episodes did turn out very different in every aspect imaginable. The situations portrayed range from reality dating competitions, variety shows and wedding rehearsal dinners all the way through to a homeless man on the subway.
