Oxygen is taking a foray into Atlanta with its successful Preachers franchise. The newest incarnation, Preachers of Atlanta, features five unconventional preachers from a wide range of diverse backgrounds bringing the word of God to the people. Their approaches are completely different, but all of them believe in reaching out to people in untraditional ways that might appeal to different groups.
Pastor Corey Hambrick, for example, divides his time between serving as a Sergeant Detective on the police force and as a pastor at The Life Church Christian Center, pastor and Grammy Award-winning singer Le'Andria Johnson employs unorthodox methods in her ministry to reach out to those in need, pastor Canton Jones is a famous rapper and producer, pastor Kimberly Jones-Pothier leads the Conquering Hell in High Heels movement, while fifth-generation pastor Judah Swiley preaches in order to inspire youth and to bring different people together in order to change the world.
The series premiered on February 2, 2016. Preachers of Atlanta is produced by L.Plummer Media & Relevé Entertainment and executive produced by Lemuel Plummer, Holly Carter, Mark Scheibal and Chris Costine.
