Series info and concept
Documentary genre star Alex Gibney's Jigsaw Productions, Condé Nast Entertainment and Amazon Prime Video feature The New Yorker Presents, an unusual series that brings the legendary publication to life. A dizzying array of documentary narratives, scripted shorts, comedy bits, animation and cartoons are all included in this series that breaks out from genre boundaries. It is executive produced by Alex Gibney and Dawn Ostroff with Stacey Offman, Richard Perello and Dave Snyder serving as co-executive producers. The New Yorker Presents' first season is set to contain 11 episodes.
The effervescent half-hour series consists of short snippets that form a multifaceted mosaic, much like the magazine itself does. It is filled with wittiness, humor, moving art, and lovely poetry, analytical thinking, and, of course, the cult New Yorker cartoons.
