The second season of the reality competition series Team Ninja Warrior premiered on April 18th, 2017 with eleven new episodes. The show moved from its original network Esquire to the USA Network and is the first ever spinoff of the American Ninja Warrior, taking the meaning of an obstacle course to a whole new level. Team Ninja Warrior is produced by Esquire and presented by the current American Ninja Warrior hosts Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbaja-Biamlia along with Alex Curry (Fox Sport), who will serve as sideline reporter. Arthur Smith, Brian Richardson and Kent Weed executive produce the program.
Already pretty close to impossible, the set of challenges from American Ninja Warrior has been overhauled and became even more epic on this second installment. 28 teams with three candidates each of the strongest competitors from ANW return to the Team Ninja Warrior series. Four teams compete in each episode, which contains three rounds. The series' format may lead to the contestants having to pass the course several times in one day, unlike ANW, where once a day was the limit.
