Season 4 of Clarence Won’t Be on Cartoon Network’s Schedule

Series' background and plot
Clarence, a US animated television series developed by Skyler Page, an ex-storyboard artist of the cult animated series Adventure Time, has been on the air since 2014. The third season premiered on the Cartoon Network on February 10th, 2017. The series is produced by Cartoon Network Studios and executive produced by Skyler Page (2014-2015), Curtis Lelash, Jennifer Pelphrey, Brian A. Miller and Rob Sorcher.
Clarence follows Clarence Wendell, a chubby and optimistic 8-year old and his best buddies Jeff and Sumo. Clarence is the spirit of the threesome, Jeff is the intellectual center and Sumo is the one to follow his instincts. Clarence's family – his mother Mary and her boyfriend Chad – is also a part of the plot. The boys' everyday adventures offset the subject of true friendship, and evoke genuine emotions.
General ratings and chances for a season 4
This children’s cartoon has had mostly positive responses and by now definitely has a solid fan family faithfully watching every episode of the show. Being compared to the slightly more absurd and severe Adventure Time, Clarence seems a tad more optimistic and grounded. The show sits comfortably at a middle-of-the-road 6.5 out of 10 stars on IMDb and 6.6 out of 10 on TV.com, which seems to be the norm for most children’s shows. But despite all the positive criticism for being a show with an actual depth to it, the Cartoon Network has confirmed, that Clarence will not be renewed for a fourth season after all. However, given that for the current third season a whole lot of episodes were produced, these will actually run well into 2018, which will give the fans a little longer to say goodbye to their favorite characters. Plus, according to Spencer Rothbell, the show will also at least have a proper TV series ending and closure for the fans!
