About the series
Produced by Moxie Pictures, Ice Cold Gold is an American reality television series that follows eight members of the Sixty Degree Resources mining company, as they try to strike gold in the harshest region of Greenland. The series first aired on Animal Planet in April of 2013, with Ice Gold Cold Season 3 premiering on March 5, 2015.
Although beautiful, Greenland is one of the most climate inhospitable places in the world, with summers lasting only two months and the rest of the year consisting of ruthless winters with temperatures falling well below freezing. Nevertheless, the heroes of Ice Cold Gold believe there are a lot of fortunes hidden in its lands. During the short arctic summers they mine precious metals and gems, trying to ‘strike gold’, literally, in parts of land where no man has ever stepped before. But becoming rich isn’t the only agenda. The other is to try to survive the myriad of dangers, from rockslides and arctic storms, to predators and isolation fever.
Current season, ratings and renewal chances
Ice Cold Gold is one of Animal Planet’s several survival shows, bringing in male viewers between the ages of 18 and 54. Although it doesn’t rate very high in the charts – 5.7 out of 10 on IMDb and 5.2 on TV.com – the series has its loyal audience, which may warrant its return. At this moment, there’s no news on whether Ice Cold Gold will be renewed for season 4. Fans will have to wait to see what Animal Planet decides to do and we’ll have all the updates as soon as they become available.

After seeing how they are pushing Eric and Americo around half way through Season 3, this "Family" needs disbanded anyway. Hopefully Eric and Americo find a better venture to direct their passion.
They actually don't live very far from me - I hope to run into them sometime since I cant see em on the Show anymore-
