Being a worldwide smash hit with the little ones and adults alike, the beautifully made animation is being broadcast all across the globe and the first 2 seasons of Lego Nexo Knights were also picked up by the streaming giant Netflix. What stands out is the high quality work of the visuals and CGI, with the characters being the only brick-looking creatures in this fantastical world. It is not surprising that Lego now started to pursuit the media market, because these bricks have been around since 1932 and form an integral part in every childrens’ toy box at some point in their life. Going back to Lego Nexo Knights’ television series, the overall approval ratings are decent with 6.3 out of 10 stars on IMDb and 3 out of 5 stars on Common Sense Media. However, the viewing figures are slowly declining, where the very first season premiered to an audience of 0.92 Million viewers, but the latest season 4 debut attracted only 0.57 Million. Not only that, but the season actually ended on September 1st, 2017 with only 0.48 Million viewers tuning in. At this point it is hard to predict the future of the Lego Nexo Knights. Series' info and plot
Lego Nexo Knights is an American animated fantasy and action television series based on the line of Lego Bricks construction sets. It is developed by Tommy Anderson, Samuel Thomas Johnson, Martin Dalsgarrd and Heidi Rathschau Niesen, executive produced by Torsten Jacobsen, Ole Holm Christensen and Lotte Kronborg, and produced by The Lego Group and M2 Entertainment. The series originally debuted in December 2015 for its very first season on the American Cartoon Network and the current fourth season of the animated program premiered on August 21st, 2017 with ten brand new episodes.
The adventures of five knights – Clay, Aaron, Lance, Macy and Axl – are portrayed in the series, as they defend their kingdom, fight evil monsters and do the usual honorable knight things. The best part of this animated series is that all the characters in the show are also available as Lego sets, so these adventures can be relived over and over again.
