Death in Paradise has been renewed for seasons 13 and 14, as well as two Christmas specials. The show's future was confirmed by the director of BBC Drama and the BBC itself.
Tim Key, Executive Producer, Red Planet Pictures says: āThe response to series 12 has been incredible, so weāre delighted that weāll be heading back to Guadeloupe for at least two more series! Weāve got an amazing and joyful Christmas special in store, and then series 13 begins with our 100th episode, so weāve got plenty of surprises ready to celebrate that milestone. I LOVE THE 2 nd CHRISTMAS SHOW ON DEATH IN PARADISE 13 ,I CRY ,, AT END THE IT WAS SO NICE. AN I WAS HOPING FOR NEV WOULD FOUND SOME ONE TO LOVE HIM AN MAY BE TO HELP OUT AS WELL WITH HIM AN THE TEAM.AND THE WHOLE SHOW HAVE BEEN SO SMOOTH. I LOVE TI I LOVE EVERY ONE WHO HAVE BEEN ON AN OFF OF THE SHOW. A BIG THANK YOU TO OF THE STAFF .
Like so many have said, it is an amazing show! My wife and I love it and can watch them over and over. The mysteries are exceptionally well written, the actors and the characters they portray are outstanding. I also concur with a reviewer who said donāt let the āwokeā crowd interfere with this wonderful show. Please, keep making Death in Paradise!
Death in Paradise is, for me, probably the best show on TV. Please commission Series 13, and don't change things too much. I dread to think what would happen if the woke brigade got hold of it.

The show is already such a good example of how race just doesn't matter, that people matter. Why on earth would you even bring that up? I makes you sound like a bigot, even if you aren't.
You've already had the new DI, its DI Flitcroft, she has said she needs to take a break from what she has been doing. The dynamic of her jelling with the team and proving her worth after trying to jail their former boss would be a good storyline, also, she's a women for the lead detective and crucially not white. How will the locals take to a black female lead detective? Come on writers, don't tell me that proposal hasn't been thought of.
Death in Paradise should certainly be continued after season 12 however there may need to be changes in format, I would like to see younger actors with female actors in principal role's whilst maintaining its mystery, I am fearful if it taken over by an American company there will be much more violence.
Iām looking forward to Season 12 and Humphreyās spinoff āBeyond Paradiseā!! š
To the creators and producers of āDeath in Paradiseā, please renew the show for Seasons 13, 14, 15, 16, and so on. DO NOT let this comedy drama series end too soon!
Also, Iād like to see the following:
* a Female character as the leading detective at some point during the show * The futures for Darlene, Naomi, and Marlon (e.g. Marlon takes his Sergeant exam, other character promotions, or romances) * more past characters returning to the show (making guest appearances or returning to the team as full time members) * more Holiday Specials and two-part episodes * more spinoffs featuring other past characters (How about Camille with the undercover team in Paris?)
After H.G. spin-off, i also want a younger Commissioner Patterson spin-off, with the same actor who played in Christmas recent special! Do you want it?
If renewed, it's time to enter the first female DI! It will be the first season where gentle gender more than masculine gender! Her, Naomi, Darlene and Marlon (or another female officer if happened)! Commissioner will be in difficult to reprise all these woman! Please, put it in!
An entertaining series with laughter and tears... A refreshing program without all the other R - rated stuff... We look forward to every season. And are awaiting now for the Christmas program and the new season in 2023....
I love Death in Paradise would love to see Camille, Florence, Dwayne and J.P to comeback even just guest spots. I hope Marlon has a chance to take the Sergeants exam his character has grown up since the Commissioner gave him a chance
Love this show. Have watched them allā¦kris Marshall was my favourite but they are all good. Nice to have some romance in the show.. Never stop this great programme..
My wife and I love this show. She watched 9 seasons without me. She was so excited about it she rewatched all 9 seasons again so I would watch them. Yes characters change, but itās in the script, they donāt pretend that a new character is the old one. We cannot wait to start season 10. It is refreshing to have some good clean entertainment! Thank you
