I thought that season 17 would be on pretty quick because it seemed like going from season 15 to 16 didn't take much time at all. I may be wrong and just remember it wrong, but it just seems to me like it was quicker and that they were advertising it way before season 15 ended!
If you love this show, please check out our MAFS fan podcast!! It's called Mad And Finally Single and can be found wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts!! We appreciate true fans of the show!!
They tried that in MAFS Australia with 2 fiftyish people. The man wasn't attracted to the woman, but she seemed to find some good things about him and tried to make it work, to no avail. I felt so bad for her because she was a lovely person inside and out, just a bit overweight. I am older and really like watching the youngsters, but yeah, they could try having an older couple now and then....
interesting idea but I think many 50 and 60 year old adults are set in their ways. Didn’t work out on MAFS Australia but I will say their show seemed SO FAKE and the women ( and possibly the men ) have so much “ work done “ at younger ages! And one can SEE that things are fake - lol. They truly don’t look good but they think they’re all that.
That would be great, but like the OP said, they tried it on MAFS Australia, and the man wasn't attracted to the woman, but that's really no difference than many of the couples in the US. For instance, look at how horrible Alyssa treated chris, but think it might go over a bit different here in the states. Then again, too many older men here are superficial like that too, and have it in their heads that young women think they are "God's gift," or because they aren't attracted to us older women, and for the most part older women don't have time to put up with all that arguing. I just think every season, they should include one older couple (above 50 age bracket) even if they don't work out in the long run, it would be nice to see older folks, and they just might be surprised. But then again, they might not be so "dramatic" either lol
I'm for team Shawniece and Jephte... You have the makings of a wonderful marriage . if you think being in love is the mile marker.. forget it ! Purpose in your heart to fall in love and you will. I bet that baby will seal the deal.. you two are so blessed and don't even know it. Best match so far !
Agreed. No chemistry. It seems Ashley was very able to articulate her "type" and the show chose either not to ask or not to match on that basis. This season (4) I think they did match more to attractedness.Just a hunch.
Please, experts, do a better job this time! Please do a more thorough job screening and matching these couples. PLEASE? The show's not interesting anymore, but downright depressing.
And then during many seasons since then, they've had exactly those superficial type of people (not giving it a chance, based on looks alone) like Alyssa and not giving the guy a chance. However, least if it were me, I would have to have some kind of physical attraction!
Alyssa was one of the biggest Ass$”@&s I have ever seen on MAFS! I couldn’t believe that these pos producers and “ experts “ have “ but I’m a good person “ the time of day! She should have been taken out of there immediately. And brisket ( Paiges pos) AND Luke ( O feel dead when I kissed her or something like that!) . They are NOT worth the time . Ff through every scene that they were in the second I saw how these “ people “ treated other people! No excuse for them at all.
Three seasons--1-1/2 couples successful. I'd say the "experts" aren't doing very well in their screening process. Truly love Jason & Courtney--very young but very much into working at a good marriage. Doug & Jamie may still be married, but she's a lot of work. Good luck with the next group.
Each season we are tormented by the "brave singles" who are not emotionally ready for marriage. Ashley was the latest as all she did was torment David and the audience with her poor me I really am trying when EVERYONE knew she was only looking for an excuse. I liked when the experts called her out but it was far too late. In season 2 it was the two Ryans. One was a momma's boy who fought for his marriage until Jaclyn bought in then he wanted to run home to his family. The worst (barely beating out Ashley) was the other Ryan who also tormented Jessica. She deserved so much more as all women do. Ryan was a thug, a liar, a cheater, a bully, and many more undesirable things. This type of person needs to be weeded out quickly. I would have liked to hear that the show made it up to Jessica in some way. She was literally in danger during the 'experiment'.
Barry, if Ashley got the type she liked someone with the personality and looks she prefers (as all of us have preferences), she would have been ecstatic I'm sure -as all of us would be if we found the right person.
David's personality simply did not match Ashley's at all. I found him fumbling and came on too strong without being able to read Ashley's body language.
If he had pulled back from the very beginning, and been a little more chill, not gushing so much until Ashley (who is more reserved) could feel comfortable, they might have had a chance to at least be friends.
I think Sam Role and David would be a better match. David needs a tomboy type of woman that does have it in the looks department, a little overweight and down to Earth type who is like a kid.
But then again, "weeding" them out to that extent, would be next to impossible, simply because during the screening process, they can outright lie about what they are looking for!
I also would like to see better quality of people really looking for their soulmate. Ashley on Season 3 was totally shallow and had absolutely no personality even when she spoke sort of like a fly annoying with no character at all. Please lets get some real personality's in there surely out of hundreds of applicants you can find some that have charm, charisma and personality men and women.
I would like to see better matches with the couple's in season 4. I do understAnd the process but it really should be more conversation about shallow people too. I think the questions could be doubled and Am again throughout the questionnaire. Ashley in the 3rd season was looking for a hunk lime on the bachelor shows. She was a little shallow but also more concerned about her looks than David. Not that she shouldn't expect that but I feel it should be a better question and answer session between the contestants and the counselors.

that.
All Seasons!!
And Especially Couples Cam!
I could name some things but for one, he kept saying how Ashley was "not trying" to make the relationship work.
She was not into him! Sometimes the personality, looks and chemistry simply isn't what the other person is looking for. You can't force that.
There are more things if you just pay attention to how he makes these big jumps in logic to try to make it fit.
