Production info and plot
Josh is a British sitcom created by, written and starring comedian Josh Widdicombe. Co-written by Tom Craine, executive produced by Stephen McCrumb and produced by BBC, the six-part series originally debuted on BBC Three in November 2015, with a pilot episode released in 2014 as part of BBC “Comedy Feeds”. Series two premiered on September 22nd, 2016 and the latest series 3 kicked off on October 2nd, 2017 with brand new episodes.
The setup is not particularly remarkable, to say the least – as it's three friends sharing a flat – Josh (Josh Widdiecombe), Owen (Elis James) and Kate (Beattie Edmondson). Most of the series is dedicated to the dynamics among them and their relationship with their weird landlord Geoff (Jack Dee), as well as their romantic and social misfortunes characteristic of the genre. There are more exotic settings – such as a pool party, but mostly it's the familiar apartment backdrop.
