Produced by Underflow Films for the Discovery Channel, Airplane Repo is an American docu-series that follows repossession agents recovering aircraft and other high-value assets from those who fell behind on their loan payments. The series originally aired in December of 2010 and has since received very mixed review. Airplane Repo Season 3 premiered on Discovery on July 15, 2015.
In this series, a group of high-flying daredevils is hired by financial institutions to hunt down and recover high-value assets, such as airplanes, as payments for overdue accounts. In season 3, the viewer gets a chance to dig deeper into the mindset of these thrill-seekers and the motivation behind their work. Ace pilots with military training, the men and women in this business are tough and focused and will go to any length to capture their targets.

I own a plane and [censored] everywhere except for the toilet. So I wanna see these guys repo my [censored]... literally.

If you pay attention, the show even states, "Certain scenes have been recreated." I'll translate that to you. It's fake. The show rents airplanes from local airports to "recreate" the repo stories. In the show's early days they didn't even hide the airplane tail numbers, so you could easily see who the actual owner was. In one case it was one of my former employers. The show has been good for business though.
Finally, did you really think there'd be so much gunplay? The show regularly shows men, or guards, dressed in plainclothes, walking around airports with shotguns. C'mon, man.
