The fact that Monsters In Me has been on the air for now eight seasons is pretty amazing, because the general fact that it is not only horrifying, but most of all REAL could deter any human being from tuning into this ugly and very scary series. But then again, Monsters Inside Me is not only extremely informative, but the way the show explains these seemingly outrageous cases will definitely have you glued to the TV. Yes – ALL of this could happen to anyone of us (if we are at the wrong place at the wrong time). What is definitely a very concerning point is the fact that there seems to be endless material out there – meaning – there are so many parasites, bacteria and foreign creepers that can infiltrate our bodies, that this show could potentially go on for decades. So, no, anybody hoping to see the end of this due to lack of material is sadly mistaken. The overall approval ratings are strong with a solid 7.7 out of 10 stars on IMDb, 7.6 out of 10 stars on TV.com and a seemingly cautious 3/5 stars on Common Sense Media. At this point, Animal Planet has not yet released any official statement regarding their plans for the future of the show, so stay tuned and we will keep you updated if and when Monsters In Me returns with Season 9.
About the show
Monsters Inside Me is an American medical documentary television series that's been broadcast on the Animal Planet channel since July 1st, 2009. The show is produced by Optomen Productions, narrated by Justin Peed and presented by biologist Dan Riskin. The latest season 8 kicked off on October 15th, 2017 with brand new episodes.
While the show's genre is defined as medicine/documentary, it's been said that its presentation style can easily compete with a horror film. Each episode contains a reenactment of three different medical case studies – each worthy of a House M.D. investigation – only here there's no way to comfort yourself by saying that it's all fake. Everything is real, perhaps somewhat overdramatically delivered, and downright horrifying most of the time. There are infectious agents, parasites, diseases, traumas – all life-threatening and spooky, some simply gross to many viewers. The scientific explanations behind each case are thorough and curious.

Friends think I am crazy for not wanting to get in the river or wonder why I do not ever walk barefoot outside.
One other thing, I do not understand why people do not wash before eating.
