About the show
Teen Wolf is an American supernatural horror and romance drama series that follows a teenager who must cope with the affects of being bitten by a werewolf. Loosely based on an eponymous 1985 novel by Jeph Loeb and Matthew Weisman, the series was developed by Jeff Davis. It hails from Adelstein Productions, DiGa Vision, First Cause, Inc., Lost Marbles Television, MGM Television and Siesta Productions. Season 1 of Teen Wolf debuted on June 5, 2011 on MTV, and the current sixth season, which serves as the final one for the series premiered on November 15, 2016.
Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) is an average high school student living a seemingly ordinary life in Beacon Hills. That is until his life drastically changes after being bitten by a werewolf the night before his sophomore year. Now that’s he’s been bitten, and subsequently became a Teen Wolf, Scott must learn to balance his new identity with the daily challenges of teenage life.
Current season and cancelation
The sixth and final season of Teen Wolf features newly introduced villains, the Ghost Riders, who possess a supernatural power to eradicate people from memory. The last semester of the senior year at Beacon Hills High proves to be more troublesome than Scott, Stiles, Lydia, Malia and the rest of the gang expected when they returned.
Throughout the seasons, the show has managed to hover at a steady average of 1.7 million viewers per episode, but did decline in ratings slightly in seasons three and four. The current season opened with even lower numbers – 0.57 and 0.41 million for the first and second episode, respectively. Despite the drop in TV viewership, the series benefits significantly from online viewership, yet the numbers still aren't strong enough for the show to go on. A season 07 could escalate the tone of the audience and fill it with much new teenage drama to be molded or destroyed. I am also scared to meet the rest of those who will compose the pack and like a future main character too much and have the story repeated and loose him, like Allison.
I like Scott to still be the ALPHA of the pack after all we were all with him since childhood :D
