Not Safe For Work is new British dramatic comedy TV series that follows a civil servant who is faced with the realities of the 21st work life and the friendships that can bloom in difficult times. Written and created by D.C. Moore, the series premiered on Channel 4 on June 30, 2015.
Katherine (Zawe Ashton) is a civil servant who is recently divorced and is forced to relocate from London to a satellite office in Northampton following a series of budget cuts in the public sector. Originally called “Cut”, Not Safe For Work chronicles Katherine’s life as she navigates a new work environment and charts new territories in her personal life. Chock full of black humor and witty dialogue, the show uniquely portrays the intricate relationships Katherine forms with the rest of the characters, including Anthony (Tom Weston Jones), Danny (Sacha Dhawan), Angela (Jo Hartley), Jenny (Sophie Rundle), Nathaniel (Samuel Barnett), and Jeffries (Anastasia Hille) the head of HR responsible for Katherine’s relocation.
