They found the Jesuit Gold no doubt but season 4 was never going to happen, it’s very likely they came into contact with the Vaticans JESUIT ORDER, you don’t mess with these people, I’m certain they (the Jesuit Order) fully knew the treasure was there and weren’t happy that these people exposed their ancient hiding spot away from prying eyes. The head of the Jesuit Order is also known as “The Black Pope” Aka: The Superior General of the Jesuit Order. Aka: The Most Powerful Man in the world! The Jesuits are the age old intelligence arm if the Vatican, Their CIA basically. There’s a recent book called “Vatican Assassins” about the Jesuits. Nobody takes nothing from the Jesuits except maybe Jesus & God himself someday. When looking for treasure probably better looking for that of dead civilizations & not non defunct Vatican secret societies. A lesson they undoubtedly learned the very hard way. I’m sure it was a very real show. It’s certainly in the hands of the Jesuits..

I figured it had to be something like that because when religion gets involved , especially this one, money dictates. Too bad, it was an interesting series that Im sure many would have enjoyed more episodes of
Kind of similar situation as some other series that suddenly end and leave viewers wondering. ....shouldnt be like that. Thanks for your reply

Sorry guys, Im from Brazil and I can garantee you that this show is a bunch of bull[censored]. For exemple, the snake island is placed in one of the most riches and garded sites in Brazil. There is no possibility of piracy activities here is null. Other thing, they found ilegal snake hunter up there... got to be joking... the is so fake and every clue and findings are so obvious to be planted that it is a real shame.

[censored], show did not record in full tonight! We just saw the Snake Island show in the last couple of weeks. Love it, so happy to see a show that produces some real treasure and doesn't leave me hanging. Well, that is until the last snake island episode by the waterfall. Was disappointed seeing the first two episodes that left us confused about the what happened. Still don't know and would like to see a rerun. Please renew this show. We really like it.

Id like these shows continued start to finish instead of making them seasonal. I dont understand why they have 8 or so episodes and then make you wait till next year, quite annoying. I am certain that the rainy season isnt stopping those guys from diving in that tunnel and shaft. Same goes for the Oak Island series and the Civil War Gold show.
I also wish they would cut the drama and include more science and history associated with these things.

Like the Jesuit tunnels they broke into. There had to be original entrances to these, why arent they shown? Where are the spoils piles? So they broke into these tunnels, no mention of how long the tunnels are and what about going the opposite directions? Did they break in at the very end of both tunnels? Seems strange. In the tunnel by the church location I dont think you have to be a geologist to realize that the tunnel a mine not a secret way to move treasure

Snake island was one of the truly Different and very interesting programs that Discovery had on it's network. What's the delay? I am bored with what is on now. The show became so exciting when they started to find Treasure in the Peruvian jungle. Surely you can let us all know when the Snake Island , Treasure Quest will return? I may have to find another Exciting Network full of snakes and treasure quests. Thanks for listening!

The season finale was tonight, 12/16/2016. The episode with Cappy being hurt at the end was not the season finale. There are two more episodes after that one (including tonight's), and they do show, or explain, what happened to him.

Sure they have some drones, metal detectors, and ground penetrating radar but they act like they are the "FIRST" people ever to use technology in these areas. If there was a treasure of gold & silver, it was most likely melted down centuries ago and is now in the form of bullion in various banks around the world. They found a silver bar from the Jesuit's already. Why would the Jesuits not have melted it all down and put it in their treasury 400 year ago? Because they probably DID! Sorry but that much money would never just get buried or hidden for 5 centuries. If the Jesuit church ended up with the Treasure, they probably told noone and kept it a secret to this day. They might still find some artifacts here and there, but they will be archaeological in nature, not treasure.

This show is interesting but let's face it, their "research" like buying a silver bar in a black market then moving the entire show to another country because a criminal who illegally sells antiquities said the bar was found near some church up a river is horse[censored].

I searched for snake quest on discovery channel is not here in Canada and wondering when the show to be on in Canada ? Yes , it was last year on discovery channel but this year should be on November 4th on discovery channel but it's not on tv in it yet .

I see on my Cable TV menu and it does appear that this show is back on Discovery Channel in Canada (Ontario) for Season 2.

I must have missed the first Episode "The Trail of Blood" of Season 2 but my menu does confirm that there's a New Episode of Treasure Quest: Snake Island on Mon,Nov 28, 2016 @ 9-10 pm.

Season 2 Episode 2 is "A Cursed Fortune" on Discovery Channel Mon,Nov 28, 2016 @ 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm.

Here's a few of the Season 2 Episodes that I found with a quick search:
