Prepare to say goodbye to the Mikaelson family: The Originals will come to an end following Season 5, TVLine has learned.
Creator Julie Plec made the announcement on Twitter, via a letter to the fans inviting them “to help us say goodbye to The Originals, which begins shooting its fifth and final season on Monday. (Source: TVline)

Said goodbye to this Vampire and originals from the last season. They dont have a good content anymore.
We are bored watching the same old drama (die and rejurected [censored])
Hope, The Original will not end like VD.

I am one of the originals also( started watching from day one ) never missed a show, this has been a great show from the beginning, I stated with vampire diaries, but after years of watching that and long after the originals stRted I quit watching vampires diaries because, the originals just was a amazing show I am very sad this show will no longer be on after this season.

I love the originals. I am so [censored]ed that this show only has one season left with 13 lousy episodes I feel cheated. THEY GET RID OF THE GOOD SHOWS. I have watched this show from the beginning. I meet Klaus on Vampire Diaries along with the rest of his siblings. In fact I grown to love them more than The Vampire Diaries and I loved that show as well. I watch The originals all the time on Netflix I have seem them real talk over 10 times. I have also gotten friends and family hooked. I hope season 5 does not end the Mikaelsons and leaves a door open for a reboot. ? ? ? ?

I'm happy it's coming back in April but super ? that it's the last season. This is such a great show I just don't get it why stop. All the good shows are going away and there keeping the [censored] shows. Anyway I love The Original ?

I was disappointed with the series finale of the diaries...seemed like after Nina left the show the whole thing was geared up just to have the last episode with her waking up -big surprise...lol...thought for sure Stephan was gonna be moving on to the Originals but I guess not ...are the two original brothers really dead?

I was obsessed with the vampire diaries so didn't want to start watching the originals until vampire diaries was done but this is like the sister connecting series and since vampire diaries starting sucking with season 8 when they basically erased elena, I finally allowed myself to watch the originals on Netflix so now all caught up to season 3. Really awesome and now prefer the originals over the vampire diaries. Can't wait for season 4.

why so long ugh. ive watched season 1-3 legit 5 times now but it will hopefully be worth the wait. I have watched both the Vampire Diaries and Originals since the day they premiered and absolutely love these shows. I also have two teenagers that love them too. It's not easy to find show's that we all enjoy and watch together. We need these two shows to break up the monotony of all the superhero shows.

I don't get why the originals don't have a full 23 episode season like seriously all cw does in summer is play repeats I think watching the originals is better than repeats be better and smarter cw for your fans thanks -_-.
