W.I.T.s Academy is a new American teen telenovela and sitcom TV series follows teenage Guardians, who oversee young witches and wizards at a training academy and must decide the fate of the students. Created by Catharina Ledeboer and produced by Viacom International and Cinemat Inc, the series premiered on Nickelodeon on October 5, 2015.
Andi Cruz (Daniela Nieves) is training at Magic Realm’s most prestigious school, W.I.T.s (witches and wizards-in-training) Academy where she has the chance to realize her dream of becoming a Guardian. As the best friend and unofficial Guardian to the “chosen one”, Andi must demonstrate she is worthy of being the only human Guardian on campus. The series is a sequel to another Nickelodeon series called Every Witch Way, and many episodes have referenced the story and characters of that show.
Season 1 of W.I.T.s Academy consisted of 20 half hour episodes that aired daily on Nickelodeon. The season finale, which aired on October 30, 2015 attracted 1.2 million viewers, which was on par with the average number of fans tuning into each episode. The fantasy series have received lots of positive reviews, and is likely on track to be renewed for a second season. While Nickelodeon has not issued any statements regarding W.I.T.s Academy season 2, given the popularity of the show, fans may see it return to the network sometime in 2016.

Updated February 7, 2016: Although there has been no official confirmation of W.I.T.s Academy's cancelation yet, we have just learned that Todd Allen Durkin, one of the series' stars, has announced that the series has been canceled in response to the fans' questions regarding the future of the show. The reasons for the cancelation are not quite clear as the series' ratings were average for its time slot, and the reviews for the telenovela were rather positive.
