Storyline and cast

Created by Ian Hollands, You, Me and the Apocalypse is a British-American science fiction comedy television series that follows the lives of seemingly unconnected characters around the world as they struggle to survive in an apocalyptic chaos. Starring Rob Lowe, Jenna Fischer, Megan Mullally and Mathew Baynton, the first season of the series premiered on Sky 1 on September 30, 2015 and will soon become NBC’s mid-season entry.

What do a rebellious priest, a white supremacist, a mediocre bank manager, a cyber terrorist and an American general have in common? That’s right, a comet that is headed for Earth and is about to destroy all mankind. In this series, they all try to make it to a bunker beneath the English suburb of Slough, thus, causing a hilarious and unexpected chain of events.

Holland’s brilliant script and the stellar cast of these transatlantic stars make this series definitely worth watching. So far, the show has enjoyed very favorable reviews and has been highly acclaimed by the critics. With the end of the world near, the drama is definitely there, and each member of the cast has all the background in comedy that is necessary to make the viewer laugh uncontrollably. As such, we are sure to see You, Me and the Apocalypse Season 2 air sometime next year.

Updated March 10, 2016: Unfortunately for the fans, the British/American sci-fi dramedy You, Me and the Apocalypse was canceled in a joint decision by Sky1 and NBC. The only series that aired opened to over 5 million viewers and lost 2 million over the course of the season. In spite of the positive reviews, excellent scores on review aggregator websites and an audience eagerly awaiting the post-apocalyptic continuation of the story following the season one finale where the meteor hits the Earth, the series will not be picked up for renewal.

I'm really mad but then again, it season 1 stands alone beautifully. If at some point they fo a season 2 I'll be thrilled but season 1 was good as it is.

I am outraged that you would even consider canceling this awesome show!!!!!!!!! The best storyline, brilliant acting, amazing cliffhanger that NEEDS to have more seasons to tell the tale. Too many loose ends!!!! This series must be renewed!!! Just gives me another reason to hate what NBC does to destroy outstanding programs. Why????? This show is AMAZING!!!! How can we trust anything sky makes ever again? Nobody enjoys cliffhangers like that. If it had been finished in a different way then I would have supported this but what Sky did was wrong. And I won't watch any of Sky's series ever again. [censored] being left with a cliffhanger like that ever again- Id rather not watch the show at all. -it doesn't have to be a happy ending, just a freaking ending.

:sad: What the hell....THIS brilliant writing is going to end. There is huge cliff hangers all over the place. I am disappointed that we have no one that will not take a chance and pick this up. HULU, NETFLIX, AMAZON..SOMEONE.....COME ON!!!!! I get why these others won't. They didn't even advertise this show properly. I am sad the ride is over, but grateful of what was give. These actors chosen was a great chemistry. So Thank you!!!!!!!!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

NOOOOO, I really liked this show, that's very sad. Although it ended pretty well and there may not be a better ending so no, I mean, now they are all there, it is not that easy for the scenarists to create a story as good as the first season. so yeah. I don't know how to feel about this. :sigh:

I know! I HATE falling in love with these freaking TV shows and then they cancel them... They leave them hanging in a way that you would kill to get an answer... People are letting down their fans so hardcore and they don't even care! I would love to know what happened to them all... what happened to the baby, if they find out it was really Ariel who got in, if they knew Jamie was outside and if he gets in! You obviously didn't love the show enough to follow the plot. He was murdered because he declined to be apart of the Catholic Church becoming the Anti-Christ. He resigned from the position so he could stay a man of God and be with the woman he loved, and who, unbeknownst to him, was the mother of his unborn child. SMH... I saw it over a year ago online before it even aired in America and I REMEMBERED that much!

[censored] off NBC. I am so tired of watching the same old plot lines on your cop, fire, law, reality shows. Same old [censored], just prepackaged. You, Me and the Apocolypse was so entertaining, unique and intelligent. Great story, great acting.

Just another reason to cut the cable and watch Netflix and their growing list of original and inventive programming.

This is by far the best series I have ever seen. I am so very disappointed that it has been cancelled!! I have lived in 5 countries, seen a lot of tv shows and series. This was the best series and I wanted to see the next shows. What are the people in charge of this show thinking?
