About the show
Saving Hope is an award-winning Canadian medical and supernatural drama television series set in a fictional hospital in Toronto. Starring Erica Durance and Michael Shanks as two central characters, the series follows the personal and professional lives of doctors, as they have to make hundreds of complicated decisions in their difficult profession. The series is broadcast in Canada on CTV, in the US on Ion Television, and in Australia on SoHo. The current Season 5 of Saving Hope was released on March 12, 2017.
Dr. Alex Reid (Durance) is about to marry Dr. Charles Harris (Shanks) when he gets into a car accident and goes into a coma. He is placed in Hope Zion Hospital, where he worked in the last several years alongside Alex. At the end of the first season Charles recovers from the coma, but finds out that he can see spirits of dead patients and those who are in a coma. In season 4 Alex is back from her maternity leave and has to struggle with her professional ethics and maternal instincts. As soon as she makes it in to the hospital, the drama kicks in and the thoughts of her baby Luke are pushed into the back of her mind.
Final season
Season 5 of Saving Hope premiered on CTV on Sunday, March 12, 2017 and it will consist of 18 episodes, just like the previous chapters. To the dismay of thousands of show’s loyal fans, this will be the final installment of the series. The fifth season begins with Alex making her toughest decision yet – breaking up with Charlie after he barely survives the gunshot wound. She believes that as long as they are together, the father of her child will keep facing these horrible twists of fate, so she leaves him. Now, with halfway through the final seasons, audiences are getting nervous, as so far there is no sign of a possible reconciliation. We wonder how the creative team decided to wrap up the main storyline and still hope that there is future for Season 6 of Saving Hope.

I've watched Saving Hope since episode one... and enjoyed every single "ghost of the week" and all plot twists...
I was hoping to hear that CTV renewed it for 5 more seasons.... or at least one more. But... my hopes weren't saved...
Anyway... thanks for such a great series. It will be missed... a lot.
I live in Argentina and here is very successful.
When I travel I program to record it.
