Yukon River Run is a new American reality TV series produced by Gurney Productions for the National Geographic Channel. Season 1 of the series debuted on the National Geographic Channel on July 20, 2015.
Yukon River Run follows three crews of contestants who travel along Alaska’s Yukon River making a living by selling wood and other much needed supplies to the remote villages along the way. In addition to the U.S. markets, the series was made available for wide international release, which landed it in more than 171 countries, translated into 45 languages and broadcasting to more than 432 million TV sets around the world. Drawing in between 0.6 million viewers for the series premiere, the show gained a loyal following through its eight episode run, including an impressive near 1 million viewership for episode seven, titled “Into the Freeze”.
