Summary and storyline

Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse is an American dramedy series that follows the zany and sometimes tumultuous relationship of Marcus and Angela Williams as they deal with the challenges of married life. Written, directed and produced by Tyler Perry, the series first debuted on April 26, 2011 on TBS, but has been airing on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) since the third season. The current sixth season kicked off on June 10th, 2017 and it will also be the last and final season for this drama series as the network announced the end in January this year.

Based on Perry’s 2007 film Why Did I get Married? and its sequel Why Did I Get Married Too?, the hilarious series revolves around a lovesick married couple, their extended family and friends. Marcus “MJ” Williams Jr. is a football player turned sports commentator. His wife Angela is the edgy and outspoken owner of a hair salon and hair care products. The sitcom has generated mixed reviews during its six season run.

Originally, For Better Or Worse drew in over 3 Million viewers, but since the very beginning, the show’s viewing figures decreased steadily until some episodes didn’t even hit the half a Million mark. Tyler Perry has numerous very successful scripted shows all airing on OWN, but this one, unfortunately, isn’t one of them. In January it was finally announced that OWN would cancel Tyler Perry’s For Better Or Worse after this current sixth season and instead give some of the more successful shows by Perry a boost instead and also add a brand new scripted series to the mix.

I was very disappointed after getting to series 6 . I was looking for seven and to find out it wasn't seven that made me very upset they need to bring this back so we can see what happened it was getting interesting. Make a movie out of it this is what I feel they should do.

Agree with others that to cancel the show at the end of Season 6 is leaving fans seriously hanging. Even if something like a simple “reunion” episode is possible to tie up so many loose ends on key characters like Keisha, Marcus, and Angela — it should be done. After investing time in this great show and its well written characters for SIX seasons, the fans certainly deserve at least this much.

Danggggggg I wish there was a season 7 for the Better or Worse or at least an ending of what happens to Marcus and Angela. Tyler Perry’s work is always great just wish we can have a complete ending with some of his shows. :(((:

I'm upset almost every great series that Tyler Perry is coming out with keeps getting canceled. For Better Or Worst is a great great series Tyler Perry. I can't believe I'm even just starting to watch it. But all ya best series like For Better Or Worst, The Haves And The Had Not, and also If Loving You Is Wrong all are great awesome shows and got canceled cause of what idk but as a fan for years in I think all them shows should be back on the air. I'm so upset that there is no more of the show this was my morning day I'd get up every morning I'd watch my show Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse than I drink my coffee and I absolutely loved it it made me want friends like Angela Jennifer and Leslie maybe wish I had love like they had and makes me wish I had friends like they have they need to do something they need to bring the show back or something with the manure experience I don't know something needs to come back

I thoroughly enjoyed this series. I was hoping that it was going to be more. I love Tyler Perry and all of his work. I just question why this humorous series was dropped when its content was a lot more relatable and bearable than some of the newer shows. I guess sex, murder and all types of corruption sells.
For Better or Worse touched on so many topics. Even though it never addressed the issue of Keisha getting what she TRULY deserved, it was an awesome show. OWN and Mr. Perry, PLEASE bring this show back. I see at least two- three more seasons to come.

Yes with all the money Tyler Perry has why can't he start his own network. Don't nobody even speak of Oprah like they use to. I love Tyler Perry shows & movies and they have been great. I really hope he can come back and finish a season 7. And I wish he can make a movie from this where Marcus go on rampage because Angela pushed him too far and then gone disrespect him in his face. They have to finish it.
